I recommend viewing the video first to see what is in it. Then pickup the camera and go step by step to actually learn the controls. The D90 is loaded with features. I am the type that does not like reading manuals. They show which buttons to use for the different features in the camera. If you understand basic camera controls you can easily follow the video. Look at the streaming version. Good luck and good shooting!

When you have the knowledge of your cameras controls and capabilities it gives you the freedom to create. I think a learning video is a important for anyone who switches cameras to a new model. The instructor on this one was well spoken, very detailed and it wasn't rushed. I'm going to be getting the second one later on.

you won't read the difficult to navigate instruction manual that comes with the nikon d90........but you will love this dvd that explains how the buttons work and the nuances of the camera.

I consider this video a "MUST" to own. It is concise and very easy to watch and understand. I'm sure none of us read the manual. This video makes the camera a comfortable tool. The Blue Crane Company does a fabulous job presenting the D-90. It is the best money you could ever spend.

The DVD explains the basics of functional components of Nikon D90 explicitly with clear illustrations. The organization of topics and the narration of options are simple and easy to understand. For example how aperture priority is associated with depth of field is shown with excellent illustrations. Generally individuals are not motivated to read the manual. But purchasing an expensive Nikon D90 camara and limiting its usage is dishartning. I feel that the video will motivate one to read the manual for greater detail and you will discover the potential of the camara and enjoy taking wounderful pictures. Sharing the settings of the camara for diffrent situations such as the aperture/shutter priority, falsh basics, and programmable modes will be more satisfying experience.

The DVD was great for someone learning the camera and some technique. It is geared more for a beginner to the Nikon D90.

The DVD Nikon D90 training video by Blue Crane Digital is a good instrustional video and as a beginer found it most helpful.The presenter covered all points very well however I did find myself wondering a bit his voice for me is rather mono tone which is just a person thing the product is good

I have upgraded from a D70s to the D90 and the training DVD has been a super source of information. A lot of the data was applicable to my other Nikon but very much of it showed specific and simple instructions relative to the D90. If you buy a D90 make certain you buy this DVD. You certainly won't regret it.

I just bought the Nikon D90 camera and was overwhelmed with it's complexities. So, I bought this DVD to help me navigate the camera. I love it.I probably will wear it out, rewinding and pausing so I can learn about this great camera. My only critique is that the information goes fast, which makes it necessary to rewind and repeat. But it has really helped me learn along with the manual and other photography books. I would definately recommend this to a new D90 user.

I knew about the Nikon D90 pre programmed settings
but the advance setting in the manual did not explain what the "A", "P", "S" setting did or what effects the had.. the video did this well

From the product description I thought that this DVD would have gone into more depth than it did. This is a good basic DVD tutorial for the novice photographer.

I really enjoyed watching this DVD, it was very informative and I learned alot of stuff that I didn't even know my camera could do. I would have liked it to have more. I have watched it over and over and am still learning things.

I my opinion, this dvd is a must have if you are purchasing your first Nikon Digital SLR camera. It's a great training video and Volume It was so great to me, I contact them directly to let them know it. They mentioned Volume II is out to print and going to be available next week. After reading teh owners manual that came with the camera, this video helped me understand the things that just didn't click with me in the book. I would tell a friend to buy this product all day long.
