TRAKTOR PRO from Native Instruments is professional DJ software that marries modern computer technology with certain aspects of "old school" DJ'ing, and in the process extends the creative resources available. At its core, the software features four virtual decks that are automatically sync'd together along with the 21 included effects.
TRAKTOR PRO utilizes ultra-precise beat detection, and a new Sync Lock function ensures that beat-matched tracks never drift out of time. Each of the four decks integrates virtual renditions of Allen & Heath's Xone: 92 4-band EQ and filters, providing for full frequency spectrum control. Content management has been improved and "Crate Flick" emulates the act of finding cues by digging in a record box.
The software has been designed to survive the rigors of the professional club environment and features a clear, functional and practical interface. Visible at a distance, the interface in TRAKTOR PRO is also completely customizable to each artist's specific requirements.

- Twenty-one professional effects contained in an "effects suite" that allows groups of up to 6 effects at a time to be chained and controlled in either "easy" or "pro" modes and tempo sync'd to any deck
- External effects routing accessible through the effects section
- Real-time track management is greatly enhanced with incremental search, Crate Flick artwork browsing, and iPod and iTunes compatibility
- Crate Flick allows for browsing a music collection using cover art that shows the top portion of each track's cover while "flipping" through, just like digging in a record box
- Artwork can be imported for file types that usually do not support cover artwork, such as WAV and AIFF
- Any set can be recorded directly to disk using the integrated recorder that supports both internal and external audio input
- Software supports multiple MIDI controllers and advanced MIDI assignments, as well as the sync'ing of external gear through the use of MIDI clock

Bought Traktor Pro as an upgrade to Torq for use with my m-audio xponent.
Overall I couldn't be happier with the purchase and traktor pro offers me much more control over my music than Torq. Although it did take a while to get used to the interface and layout, everything flows smoothly. I was able to personally map my xponent using midi commands after trying a few layouts others had made. There is a lot of flexibility in how you map controllers although the method is not very user friendly.
Traktor is definitely one of the leading DJ programs out there today and if you are thinking about switching, give the demo a try.

This versatile application gives you everything you need for live and in-studio mixing and remixing, complete with automatic beat synchronization, one-touch looping, a solid track-search function, interactive graphic waveform displays, and smooth crossfades at the click of a button.It is worth the purchase. Much higher end software than most especially if you are a new DJ. If you are experienced then it is PERFECT cause you've already been through a lot of trial and error! Get this and change your DJ life forever.

I use this Traktor for Professional DJing, Remixing, and Creating Mixes for the internet. It's dependable, flexible and full of creative options that Serato Lacks
I can essentially go to a gig without any equipment aside from my MAC and an outboard Sound card Like my Firewire410. I Use an MPD24 For all my midi Stuff like launching songs, Q points, EQ, Pitch slider and a few other parameters that I use in conjunction with The "Modifier key's" function In the program. It essentially lets you press a select midi key and instantly gives your whole midi controller a new set of assignable controls without changing a page on you midi controller; making it fast and efficient at altering the program in any way you can imagine; fast and easy.
Some things I enjoy about Traktor are as follows.
I like the colors of the program interface. I Enjoy the ease and speed of Getting songs ready and Warped. The beat lock alignment is sooo useful for keeping all 4 decks beat aligned and keeping the key right. You have Full EQ of different models of mixer including XONE mixer and Frequency shifter For sweeps. and a full host of on board BPM Synced effects that ar great for transitions, buildups and breakdowns. Also, if you are an Ableton operator you can sync the programs BPM Together so you can use both and also use Ableton for all your effects and sound routing from TRAKTOR= Sweet WIN!
I haven't found any Issues with TRAKTOR yet.

Top notch software. Haven't used its full potential, but it's fun to use and intuitive. Midi controller assignment could use some revamping since you have to know what every single knob and fader in the GUI is called in order to go into the preferences and assign. Should have a midi learn function straight on the GUI like most DAWs and VSTi do. Excellent software though.
