Porta Brace POL-MEX1 Polar Mitten Camera Case
The Porta Brace POL-MEX1 Polar Mitten (Black) is a thickly padded insulated case made for the Sony PMW-EX1 camcorder. It has air-activated warmers placed inside the case to maintain interior temperatures, to keep battery, recorder, lens and hands warm. The case has been tested at minus 50° Fahrenheit. There are fleece cuffs at the lens that allow for a warm access. The case is made from Oxford nylon material with Mylar heat-reflective, high-loft insulation.
The Polar Mitten includes four movable heat packs.

Superb piece of kit and amazing retail experience!I was given a very late green light for an Antarctic job and desperately wanted a cover for my Sony EX1 and there wasnt a single polar mitten in the UK nor in the States. But Portarbrace started to make one same day [...] and I have to say the hand made cover is amazing. Beautifully tailored, clever design, lightweight, water resistant and so far has kept the camera very toasty. A huge recommendation from one satisfied customer. I feel confident that it'll deliver if the weather turns really nasty though I'm kind of hoping it won't!
