The Bokeh Photoshop Plug-in Software for Mac and Windows from Alien Skin Software allows you to simulate the out-of-focus area created by wide-aperture lenses. Using advanced algorithms based on field results of lenses that are highly for their bokeh (the quality of the out of focus area of a photo), the software aims to create a more natural, pleasing bokeh than often-cumbersome Photoshop techniques.
In addition to subject isolation, the software can be used to create the selective-focus Lensbaby effect, add interesting vignettes to backgrounds, and to simulate the look of Holga toy cameras. You'll even be able to recreate the tilt-shift effect, usually only achieved by using very specialized lenses or large format cameras.

Bokeh is a great product for post processing in Photo Shop. It is easy to use and generally fast in creating terrific out of focus creamy backgrounds to help focus the viewer's eye on the main subject of your image.
It actually has written algorithms that mimic some of the really great Bokeh lenses, like Nikon 105mm Macro etc. You can also choose different manners of Bokeh that come from different blade numbers in a lens aperture that make highlight artifacts look more round or geometric.
This program is very easy to learn but also has more in depth levels that you can work with. This plug-in can really help save images with great subject capture but distracting background.
I highly recommend Bokeh!

Not being able to control the background or depth of field in my sports photos, I needed a way to blur the messy background and it was taking too long in CS4. Bokeh does it in a flash. I'm able to control what and how much blur to apply. It's saved me many of hours at the computer.

This program works pretty much as advertised. I've been very pleased with the results of about 90% of the photos I used Bokeh with... not bad.
It's time consuming to select the main subject with the wand in Photoshop to separate the object from the background, and it takes time to touch it all up afterwards but I think the results are worth it. It is far from "automatic" and it's time consuming but it works well.
On the negative side, I think the program is over-priced like all of Alien Skin Photoshop plug-ins.
