The Brother PTouch PT-1230PC does not come with an AC Adapter. Instead, it takes a bunch of batteries that burn out in a couple of months, regardless of usage (phantom drain). So you really need an AC Adapter. This one works like a champ and is one of the cheapest available on the internet. [...]cheap too.

Without this adapter expect to use a lot of batteries. Well worth the price. Long cord reach for desktop work. Faster label performance with this adapter. I recommend people buy this item when they buy a label maker. Pays for itself in batteries which we all know are not cheap.
