Got a DVD that won't play? I'd bet real money it would play in this machine. We rent from Netflex and some of the movies we get looking like they were scraped over a brick floor. My old machine would skip or just freeze up. The DVP-SR200P plays on as though there was nothing wrong. And the progressive scan looks great on my theatre screen.

My 7 year old DVD player just quit in the middle of a car chase scene in a movie! I was so bummed. Tried another DVD, no luck. It was 11:00pm and I was revved up,so I went to my computer searched around for good DVD player that would play Netflix movies and also movies for my little grandaughter. The reviews of this Sony were good, the price was fantastic. I ordered it, it arrived in two days, and was easy for a non techie like me to install.
It is so sleek looking and I have always trusted Sony. Also the quality of the picture is improved over my old DVD player. All in all I am happy with it, would buy it again and loved B&H's prompt shipment.
The instruction manual could be a little more detailed.
