It was tricky getting the DVD programmed, but assistance was readily available on the telephone and they walked me through it. I was advised to buy an HMDI cable (get it first!) but then it worked beautifully. I am really enjoying foreign films in languages I know.

After a very simple and straight forward setup, the unit played multi regional discs immediately. For a non-videophile, I was very pleased with the ease of setup and operation. Even with multi regionals there was absolutely no jitter or shake. My HD TV is currently in storage so I have not been able to try the up-conversion feature yet, but if it follows the pattern of the rest of it I expect to be well pleased with the unit.

I needed to replace my old Liteon DVD player to play again DVD-R recorded in Germany.
After returning 2 by local electronic store customer service recommended players, which didn't work, it was refreshing to talk to Customer service from B&H, who knew exactly what my problem was und recommended this player. After reading the spec sheet from B&H, I ordered this player.
Althought, the included operation manual doesn't list the DVD-R and the regional coating on the player is 2, it plays the DVD-R rcorded in Germany and US and plays DVDs with regional coating 0, 1 and 2.
The only drawback is that DVD-R recorded in LP show faster moving objects like cars, trains anf ships in a stepped version, while the old Liteon didn't.
But I got what I ask for and I am happy to play my old library again.
