Sunpak Quick Release Plate
The Sunpak 620-745 Quick Release Plate is the plate that is originally supplied with the 523P, 523-PX, 623-P, & 623-PX tripods equipped with a 3-way pan head, and it is offered here as a replacement for a lost or damaged plate as well as for those users who would like a second plate for an additional camera, spotting scope, accessory, etc.

When you buy a tripod don't forget to get extra mounting plates if you have multiple cameras, or lenses that have a mounting ring. My 70-200mm L lens has its own mounting ring that takes the strain off the camera body and balances the lens on the tripod. It's a hassle to unscrew the mounting plate from the camera and move it to the lens and back again in between shots.
This plate is OEM and is very well made. Machined alloy.

I lost my only other plate for this particular tripod and B&H Photo was the only place I could find a replacement. Without this piece, my entire tripod setup wouldn't work. The quick-release plate is a must have for any semi-serious photographer.
