Achieve beautiful, balanced color with the baLens White Balance Lens Cap and avoid the poor or inaccurate color in-camera automatic white balance provides. Most white balance tools require carrying around specialized items such as a White balance filter or a reference card, but with the baLens Cap, the lens cap on your camera is your white balance tool. The baLens White Balance Lens Cap comes with interchangeable neutral and warm domes and uses a center pinch-release mechanism to keep the cap locked firmly on your lens. Accurate white balance setting is as easy as putting the cap back on the camera, point the camera at the light source and then snap a reference image for the use as your cameras pre-set white balance reference. So, no matter how challenging the lighting situation, you'll quickly and easily get beautiful balanced images without the need for bulky reference cards or lots of time on the computer after shooting.

It couldn't be much easier, and it seems to be very accurate, but I find the additional"warm" dome more useful than I expected (I use it exclusively out-of-doors) -- it's not a dramatic shift, but it makes a welcome difference at times.

This cap is not magic - indoors with mixed lighting on Panasonic G1 it was inconsistent. The neutral cap seems too cool under most conditions - I am using warm one most of the time. Indoors I point the cap at the prevailent ligth source to get best results. Outdoors it works well - custom white balance gives better results than camera presets. Still need to compare and make decisions. If you work RAW - you migth be better off with a grey card. For JPEG's it is a tool that is usefull as long as you understand how it works.

I use this to set my WB outside. So far so good. I like the product. Took a little getting use to. Directions are very general and not camera specific. Overall happy with product and can tell a difference in my photos when using this product.
