The Camera Armor (Black) is a rugged custom fit skin made to protect a Nikon D40, D40X or D60 digital SLR camera. All controls and access points are still accessible. A clear polycarbonate lens protects the LCD, and an included Lens Armor will fit most lenses up to 85mm.

No problem using the covering over the buttons as I thought it would be. Only consideration I would suggest is not to use the flash on the camera with the lens cover as some photos have a shadow where the lens cover blocks the flash.

Prevented me from breaking my camera when I slipped on ice while carrying my camera on the tripod to a new shooting location. Wish the body protector had a cut out for mounting the camera on a tripod. When you mount the camera with the body armor the armor gets misaligned and the buttons on the back of the camera cannot be activated readily.

This armor is great in order to avoid scratches to the camera and viewer in the back of the camera, the plastic protector makes it worth while.

The skin fits perfectly and registers well with all of the camera controls. The polycarbonate LCD cover fits tightly over the LCD protecting the LCD screen from casual bumps and scratches while handling and storing the camera.
The textured surface of the skin gives a secure and trustworthy grip on the camera body.
The protective skin for the lens is not very useful.
