Comments about Nexto DI Nexto eXtreme (250GB):
I always try to double backup all files, one set in my laptop and one set in a Nexto, or both sets on two separate Nextos.
Its use is very simplified and the copy speed very fast.
The battery lasts a decent amount of transfers, unless you're a data hog, but then you can buy an external battery.
Supports transfers by esata and usb 2.0, but unfortunately not usb 3.0!
Remember that hardware always fails, so do 2 backups. If you don't have an alternate way of backup (e.g. laptop, extra CF cards), buy 2 Nextos. And instead of buying 1 big capacity one, prefer 2 smaller ones!

Comments about Nexto DI Nexto eXtreme (250GB):
I use this instead of a laptop to store files in the field. Either that or I have to go home and waste time clearing out my CF cards.
It copies and verifies very fast. The disc is swappable.
The battery is fine for normal users but not so great for me... if you are a monster user, buy the spare...it's saved my buns. The screen is tiny and of course seeing the images would be great but, given the choice between swappable drives and seeing the images, I chose the swappable unit.

Comments about Nexto DI Nexto eXtreme (250GB):
It does exactly what it's supposed to...quickly, reliably backup all my cards. The one surprise was how fast it is. For a full 32 gig CF card, it takes 18 minutes. beauty of this is I can backup my cards during the shoot and on the way home. By the time I'm home, the ESATA connection to my MacPro makes very short work of getting the files onto my external drives for editing.
Battery life seems pretty decent...haven't run out yet! And the interface is very simple and tells you when it's done with a beep.
Everyone should be using one of these!

Comments about Nexto DI Nexto eXtreme (250GB):
I really wasn't sure whether I should get this product or some form of laptop to backup my photos while traveling. I am so glad I purchased this. It is small enough that I can take it with me, even into the mountains to serve as an additional backup. It does just what it is supposed to do and I was thrilled to find that it will even sync with many other external hard drives so that I can easily duplicate my backup while traveling. It is simple and easy to use, plugs right in to my computer like a hard drive for downloads. I really love this little device!

Used to unload/backup CF cards onsite and then transfer image files (eSATA) to PC. It's WAY faster than a USB CF reader and copies 300 13MB images in about 5 min. Tansfer to PC takes about 3 min.

Comments about Nexto DI Nexto eXtreme (250GB):
Have been looking for a simple and economical CF download solution for quite sometime until I come across the Nexto eXtreme... I don't need the fancy screen to show my pictures (as that will just eat away battery), so this is a perfect fit for me. Now I can travel without my laptop and I don't have to bring 10 CF for 1 trip... I love this :)

Comments about Nexto DI Nexto eXtreme (250GB):
I use this product as backup/storage for photos. I formerly used a laptop or Epson photo storage device, but wanted to travel lighter and have more storage capacity. The Nexto is very easy to use, and fast. This device does not have a photo view window, but this feature is not important to me. The tradeoff for me was easier data transfer and more capacity.

I used this in LA during the CrossFit Games, an international fitness competition, where I was shooting constantly for 3 days. This device was the perfect size so it was always with me in the camera bag. It downloads RAW files very quickly on the spot. I really like the filing system that is set up automatically making it very easy to find each cards' files in separate file folders. I also shoot weddings with multiple photographers - some shoot CF and some shoot SD cards. Having the two types of card slots built in is indispensable. Wish I had bought this device a long time ago!

I purchased the 250 GB Nexto DI for my trip to Italy and it has worked great. I charged it before I left the states and two weeks later it has not needed to be charged at all. It has allowed me to take as many photos as I have wanted during the trip without worrying about memory space or having to buy extra CF cards.

I purchased this item specifically for my vacation to Disney in Florida. I didn't want to lug around a laptop all week, so this was a perfect solution. After shooting all day, I would back-up my photos each evening. A nice feature is that it will recognize if you've already saved a file on the Nexto, and ask if you just want to update the un-saved files. My only knock on the unit is there is no preview of the photos. But in that department, I sacrificed that feature for more storage space for the same price. So if you're just looking for back-up, this is will work great.

Comments about Nexto DI Nexto eXtreme (250GB):
Seems not to be able to be used as a USB device
card download in Windows7, PhotoShop BridgeCS4
( although some of the web site responses state
otherwise). However, that being said, it is recognized as an external hard drive. So, I transfer my images to my internal C hard drive, then
move them into my separate 'images only'
hard drive. Then CS4 Bridge can access them.
There maybe an easier way to do it ( but if I figured it out, most anyone else can).
With it's small size I can put it in the camera bag and download lots of large file
image cards while out in the field.

Comments about Nexto DI Nexto eXtreme (250GB):
Very user friendly. Ease of operation was one of the big pluses. Recorded photos and video files from my SDHC card. Later downloaded to my computer with no problems. This works well with my MAC. No need to bring my laptop on photo trips since I do my post work from home. I didn't find anything that was a negative about this device. Would recommend it to others.

Comments about Nexto DI Nexto eXtreme (250GB):
It took my old storage device about 2 hours to transfer 8 gigs of photos from a CF card while this one takes only 5 minutes - 10 minutes with full verify. The first time I used it I thought it had just quit after about 1 minute from a 2-gig card but all the photos had transferred perfectly. The transfer speed from the Nextodi to the computer is about the same as from the card to the Nextodi.

Comments about Nexto DI Nexto eXtreme (250GB):
I used the Nexto Di on a recent trip to Zimbabwe. We had limited access to power so the long battery life was great. I took about 200Gig of CF cards and used the Nexto DI as a back up devise only so I always had a copy of my files on the Nexto Di and on a CF card I almost filled all my CF cards for the trip. The Nexto Di performed faultlessly backing up my CF cards quickly and efficiently when required. What more could you ask for. The only con was the format command is too easy to access, not that I came close to formatting the drive but I did accidentally access the command twice while using the unit in the dark.

We [@] feel the eXtreme Storage drive is everything is promises to be. The only down side is the battery life, we found the life of the battery to be in direct relation to the transfer amount. With each charge we found that the battery lasted for aprox 60 gig of raw images. This means to fill the 250 gig drive you will need to charge between transfers. The case is nice and rugged and the transfer is done with a single click of a button. The Esata port of the drive makes for extremely quick transfers. I would recommend this product to anyone looks for a portable storage devise that delivers.- Terry Montague [@]

Comments about Nexto DI Nexto eXtreme (250GB):
This product does exactly what it says it will do. It backs up your flash cards and it does it faster than any system I have ever tried. The transfer speed with a computer using either the USB or eSATA connection is also very speedy. If you are looking for something that just backs up your data, then this is your product. If you need to preview your pictures then this is not for you.
