I purchased this to back up data on my daughter's laptop. The best part about it is it's simplicity in use - just plug it in and it does the rest. The only negative is that it's a bit more expensive than other types of external hard drives; however, this does not outweigh its positives.

Bought this ClickFree as a gift for my husband - who is NOT so computer savy. He intended to use it to back up info from a dying laptop. Honestly, the toughest part of using this drive was opeing the plastic packaging. Just as described, he connected the drive to the computer and let it do the rest. It nicely uploaded and categorized all the files from our laptop in a matter of minutes. All files - iTunes, other music, pictures, documents, you name it. I don't even think we made a dent in the amount of storage space available so we'll go around and upload the other computers. The one thing that we have not done yet was transfer the data back to a computer, but I can't see that being rocket science. The one thing that could have been included with the drive would be a protective case but that's getting picky. No apparent downfalls as of now. Highly recommended!

Truely a Worry Free Back up unit that works from the first plug in, but is also easy to adjust and set for your own personal preferences.
One issue: if you 'Do Not' have administrative privledges on your PC you won't be able to use this great tool. So it may not be for you if you are linked to a Network with an I.T. department that likes to keep strict control.

I use the Clickfree backup for my music and pictures. It was really easy to use right away although it took 3 tries to initially start on my computer and one time for my wife's. Subsequent backups for both computers were immediate and quick. I liked it so much I recommended it to my wife's friend who is completely computer illiterate. That should say it all!
