The JVC Megapixel IP Security Camera has a 1.3 megapixel progressive scan CCD sensor that captures high-precision moving images without any flicker. The unit optimizes bandwidth with Quad-VGA Motion JPEG and VGA MPEG-4 dual streaming. Partial resizing, true day/night functionality, and digital PTZ control make for comprehensive surveillance.
The active gamma function automatically compensates for backlight fluctuations to retain the image quality. The Megapixel IP Security Camera features a built-in motion detector that triggers an alarm or recording input and also accepts an external alarm input. Password protection and IP address filtering enhance network security and the easy-to-install camera includes an Open Architecture API (Application Program Interface) for easy customization via the network.
- Image Sensor
- The 1/3" CCD sensor captures high-resolution Motion JPEG images (up to 1280x960) that are 4 times larger than conventional VGA and can be enlarged by digital zoom to identify small-sized objects like a license plate or even a face. The progressive scan technology ensures sharp and flicker-free images of moving objects.
- File Compression Formats and Frame Rate
- Simultaneous streaming of both MPEG-4 and Motion JPEG images at up to 15 fps (frames-per-second), while the MPEG-4 (VGA/QVGA) format allows high frame-rate images even when the bandwidth is limited. When images are required as evidence data, the Motion JPEG image (QuadVGA/VGA/QVGA) format is preferred as it offers high-quality still images. Therefore, you can choose the compression format and distribution size depending on your requirements.
- Day/Night Function
- Two modes - color mode when the surveillance area is bright and black & white mode in low light conditions. In the black & white mode, AGC (Automatic Gain Control) amplifies the video signal ensuring consistently clear pictures even when there is a drop in the signal strength.
- Easy Wide-D Function for Backlight Compensation
- The Wide-D function uses gamma adjustment on images to identify details of the subject even in backlit and high-contrast lighting conditions.
- Selectable Partial Scan
- You can select up to 20 preset positions and distribute them sequentially similar to the "Auto Patrol" function of PTZ cameras.
- Digital PTZ Control
- This function allows you to magnify any area of the image and move the selected area while maintaining the same zoom ratio. Besides, the pan/tilt/zoom speeds can be adjusted from several levels.
- Private Masking Positions
- With an unlimited number of private masking positions and free shapes, the camera uses bitmap-format overlay data to protect specific areas of the screen from surveillance and maintain privacy.
- Bi-directional Audio Communication
- Facilitates 2-way communication between the operator and a visitor or a would-be intruder.
- Network Security
- Three level password protection and IP address filtering prevent unauthorized access of the camera controls.
- Alarm Function
- A built-in motion detector triggers an alarm or recording input; the camera is also capable of accepting an external alarm input. An 8 MB pre-/post-alarm buffer ensures that vital event-related data is not lost.
- Simultaneous Users
- While the stand-alone camera can support up to 20 simultaneous users, it can support unlimited users through multicasting.
- Built-in Display Mode
- Featuring a built-in display mode (LCD1/LCD2/CRT/Custom selectable), the security camera provides optimum visuals in accordance with your set-up.
- Open Architecture API (Application Program Interface)
- Allows in-depth and easy customization over the network with a simple command system and HTTP-based protocol.
- Easy Installation
- The compact design ensures hassle-free installation and setup, and the camera comes with a web-based setup and viewing tool that guide you through the process.
- Focus Assist Function
- The Focus Assist Function opens the iris fully, lowering the depth of field and helping you find the exact focal point.
- PoE (Power over Ethernet)
- Power over Ethernet allows the camera to receive power from the network without any extra wiring or power outlets and makes for cost-saving installations.
- Compatible JVC Recorders
