The VAIO USB Optical Drive from Sony is an external DVD burner. It is designed for use with the VAIO P series, but is compatible with all Sony VAIO notebooks that ship with Windows XP or Vista. The burner, powered via a standard AC wall outlet, features a slim design with a brushed-metal finish. It can write data to DVD±R, DVD±RW, DVD±R DL, DVD-RAM, CD-R, and CD-RW discs.
