Simple level control
This is a cheap alternative for Mackie BigKnob and Presonus Monitor Station. It's not the best controller money can buy, but it does the trick if you don't need the extra features.

This is a cheap alternative for Mackie BigKnob and Presonus Monitor Station. It's not the best controller money can buy, but it does the trick if you don't need the extra features.
I noticed that when the volume is low (7 o'clock), the left channel volume is lower than the right channel. It could be a problem on my unit, but at this price range, don't expect perfect linearity.
Even with this issue, it still feels better than using the rotary encoder on my MOTU 8Pre.
You will also need to buy 2 pairs of XLR balanced audio cables, check your interface output. I had to get a TRS/XLR pair for the output and then XLR/XLR to connect to the HS80m monitors.

The perfect and SIMPLE way to control audio coming out of my mixer that has a lot of different sources. This way I don't have to keep rolling over to the mixer to control the volume to my powered monitors. I wish I did this a LONG time ago. You'll probably need to add a coulple of your own XLR cables to get it set up just right but chances are you've got a lot of those that have accumulated over time.:)

Perfect for anyone with powered monitors that don't have a means for volume control on their interface. Allows one to output full resolution from their interface and control volume in the analog domain. I own a Metric Halo 2882 and this item saves me from having to use the software monitor controller I use to use. One less window on my computer screen! Plus everyone loves a physical knob compared to messing around with a mouse. Simple to set up and use. Nice weight to the unit and smooth control. You are going to need cables to get to your monitors as the ones provided are way to short to make it there. A winner overall!

Very smooth and quiet operation.... a very simple design - yet a needed component for me in my setup - and it's built using quality components.
I would have given it 5 Stars however the cable design is lacking. They do not provide enough cabling on the pigtail to connect your speakers if they're any more than about a foot apart. I had to get some patch cords which increased my overall purchase total.
