This DVd gave me much more infomation than just reading the manual, so easy to learn my camera from watching video and pausing the DVD to play along.

Having not used an SLR Camera for years, I found myself needing a basic start of the cameras' features. I found myself reviewing the DVD several times to learn how to use the features. It was a great start and I am ordering the advanced DVD for additional features.

Love the 50D DVD. It is very helpful when setting up your camera. I got alot of tips on settings from this video. I recommend it to anyone who is new with the 50D.

This is a must have if you own a 50d, it walks you through step by step and even tells you when to pause to play with the settings it just went over. If I'm out taking pictures and am having trouble with the settings I just go in and plug in the CD and get a refresher course on the settings. Makes using the camera very easy and enjoyable.

The manual is not enough. This DVD is an asset to the learning of the 50d. You should also buy DVD: Introduction to the Canon EOS 5D Mk II & the 50D Volume 2 Advanced Topics.

I just watched the video for the 2nd time. I will go back to it for more references in the future also. I bought this when I bought my 50D and although I read the camera manual. It is quite different when you have someone showing you all the functions and how to use them. Yhe 2nd part is about photo tips and how to take pictures in different situations. I never knew about "the thirds rule" in picture taking centering!!!some great tips and a must for beginners!

Outstanding training CD for the newbe to the 50D or for that matter Canon DSLR's. Very clear and concise info to operate the camera. This CD is a great tool to refresh my memory prior to pulling the camera out. I have purchased two other Blue Crane training CD's based on how much I like this one, [...]. I will buy Volume 2 for certain when it is released.

Purchased with the 50D to quickly learn the nuances of the camera. Excellent training video. Vol I, so don't expect miracles but it certainly does a good job with all the essential needs.
