The 320GB HyperDrive COLORSPACE UDMA Multimedia Storage / Player is a high-capacity stand-alone storage device with a plethora of state-of-the-art data-management and security tools. Now, you can back up and view your memory cards without computers or external power. The device boasts 320GB of storage capacity on a user-replaceable SATA HDD, and accepts 14 different memory card types, including Compact Flash Type I / II and SD/SDHC/MMC/MS/xD. Its high-speed USB 2.0 interface offers 32 MB/s transfer speed, and the device performs backup at 40 MB/s.
The COLORSPACE's sleek form-factor and powerful feature-set offers digital photographers peace of mind, speed of operation, and the ability to travel light and move quickly. This compact hand-held device ensures a seamless workflow by allowing photographers to shoot without hesitation; JPEG or RAW files can be transferred at 2.0GB/minute on a single battery charge.
Inside the HyperDrive, S.M.A.R.T. constantly monitors the hard drive's status for potential issues. A built-in data recovery tool can be employed to recover formatted, deleted, lost, or corrupted files from most memory cards. The integrity of each data-backup is checked by the CRC copy-verification system, and Data-Synchronization allows the HyperDrive to mirror its contents onto another HyperDrive or an external hard drive via USB OTG host technology. Incremental Backup allows the transfer of new images, while skipping over all of the previously saved data.
The HyperDrive's integral 3.2" QVGA LCD screen delivers vibrant color, contrast, and sharpness for on-site editing and proofing. Viewing RAW files of any type on the HyperDrive is never a problem, thanks to its RAW decoder; virtually any camera's raw file can be displayed, including those from medium-format digital backs. The zoom feature allows the shooter to confirm focus and overall sharpness, while the comprehensive R/G/B histogram can be accessed to provide exposure level information.

The hyperdrive was purchased to back up my 16GB Lexar cards out of my Canon 1Ds Mark III camera. The device works incredibly well and is fast. I would have given it 5 stars but it glitched on me once and I thought the internal HD had crashed, losing all my shots. It didn't but I was sweating for a bit.
It's easy to use, picture quality on the LCD is not usable BUT it downloads / backs up the cards really well and I would totally recommend this to someone else, NO DOUBT!!!

Comments about Sanho 320GB HyperDrive COLORSPACE UDMA Multimedia Storage / Player:
- HyperDrive is used as backup device for photo shoots with clients (family portraits, model portfolios etc) and for covering weddings and events
- I also plan to use the HyperDrive as an easy option for backup while travelling next month.
- The main reason I purchased the HyperDrive is for the fast backup speed. On average, I am getting 1GB per minute backup speed. Of course, I would like faster, but this is very fast compared to other methods I have used.
- Reason 2 is the battery life. I'm still on the first charge and have back up at least 50 GB of photos from various jobs (fantastic!).
- Reason 3 is the ability to replace the battery and HDD. If battery goes bad, I can get a new one. I also have the option to invest in a solid state HDD in future to replace the current HDD.
- Reason 4 is the ability to review your RAW images directly.
What I like improved:
- more robust case, as I feel I can break it. My previous backup drive had a metal case and the airport baggage handlers still managed to shatter it.
- touch screen
- even better image quality (yes, we are spoilt these days)

If you take photography at least somewhat seriously, or take a lot of photos, you definitely need this item.
I am a professional wedding photographer and I have a team that i work with. We pass this around so all the pictures are in one place. We all have our favorite equipment... cannon, nikon, olympus. and the hyperdrive sees all the images both jpeg and RAW of all three. its rather neat having a piece of equipment that sees olympus raw files right off the bat.
we use cf 1 and 2, xd, sd, sdhc, and occasionally a micro-drive all of which we have multiple brands. all of these we use with no problem from 256mb to 16gb, A WORD OF CAUTION... THE HYPERDRIVE DOES NOT CURRENTLY ACCEPT ANY CARD LARGER THAN 16GB...
I work in raw and large format jpegs so its nice to not have to carry around 10 memory cards
The Hyperdrive works... plain and simple it does what the product description says it does. its easy to use and everytime you your confused the
It comes with a nifty carrying case that attaches to your belt, so if you're downloading a CF card you can put the card in have it download and keep it the holster. while its doing its thing, i can continue shooting. its fast at downloading so i can usually only get about 3 shots in before its done.
I've used this on several events and have never had to recharge it. though i do have backup power source if that did happen.
its your choice. you could either buy a good 64gb media card, or you can get this, they're about the same price, except one comes with the ability to to have a lot more images and the functionality to copy memory cards rather quickly of other people that are at the same event.
its not that uncommon when the brides parents will have a camera and they have some pictures they want me to consider for the album. with this i can copy it and not possess the card for more then 5 minutes.

I used this device for field work in Haiti. It certainly beats buying and carrying around dozens of high-speed expensive memory cards. Many people say the menu-system is difficult to use. I disagree, the menu is easy to use. It also has a built in set of software for data-recovery.
I wish the device had a better feel to it. Perhaps being metal-bodied. It would make me feel better having ALL of my data being saved on it. I wish that the screen was better built too. The edges on mine bubble up slightly and it makes me wonder if the thing was actually refurbished...Also, the screws for the back of the device are VERY cheap and you have to be careful as they are too small and can be stripped easily. I wish that it had data verification for movie files as I had to trust that the files uploaded properly. Even if there could be a preview option for them.

I use the Hyperdrive Colorspace as a photo/video backup while traveling. Downloads are fast and the ability to see the download progress is appreciated. Being able to review photos is great. My favorite feature is the incremental download... you can pick up where you left off and not duplicate anything.
