Probably a good card. Does not work with New Mac Pro mid 2010. Had to return

Comments about LaCie 2-Port eSATA PCI Adapter Card:
To install the card in the Mac Pro, you have to carefully bend the top mounting tab on the card to angle downward instead of at a right angle so that it will slide into the "vise" that secures the cards once the card is in place.
After the Mac Pro is restarted the card is recognized but with "no driver". Once the install package on the CD is completed everything works great.

Comments about LaCie 2-Port eSATA PCI Adapter Card:
Running XP SP3. Opened drivers from CD. Installed card. Auto detection identified it as PCI input device. Would not accept Win XP drivers. Downloaded new drivers via Driverguide.com. Same unsatisfactory result. What is going on here?

Comments about LaCie 2-Port eSATA PCI Adapter Card:
4 stars because the software that comes with it is a little pokey. On Windows XP startup, an error message comes up if you don't have anything plugged into the card. But I like the little static-free handle. Nice touch. Does what it's supposed to do.

Comments about LaCie 2-Port eSATA PCI Adapter Card:
Using card with a "Fantom Drive" 2tb external. Card installed in minutes without any additional drivers although provided on CD. Included utilities on CD offer software for RAID installation. Purchased this card because using the Fantom Drive as a USB device caused my system to hang on boot. Problem solved, no negatives to speak of.

Comments about LaCie 2-Port eSATA PCI Adapter Card:
LaCie has always been known for quality products and this one definitely is. For use on a Mac, you first have to change the jumper over to a different spot. After that you just plug it in and go.
I installed it in my Dual 2Ghz G5 and it worked perfectly.

Comments about LaCie 2-Port eSATA PCI Adapter Card:
Great card! I use it to link external drives to store video/audio files and it has fantastic transfer time. Works just as fast as an internal SATA drive. Easy to install and up in about 10 minutes total!
