I've used other, more generic eSATA cables in the past and they have all been really clumsy. Either they come in ridiculous lengths, or are really thick and difficult to maneuver without stressing the cable. This thin cable makes both problems disappear (although it could be a little shorter). It is extremely flexible, allowing cable routing that won't pinch. I'm always setting up and tearing down eSATA drives while on set so having a flexible, simple cable helps.
The only downside is that because its so thin, when will it break? It is well made, so only time will tell. I haven't had any break yet, but it's so cheap I have spares.

I bought this cable because of the LaCie brand. But it doesn't work well at all for me. Whenever I use this cable, I get dropped connections or data read/write errors. When I first started having these problems, I replaced the hard drive to see if it was the drive (it wasn't). Then I swapped the case with another and then the eSata board but the problem persisted. It wasn't until I replaced the LaCie cable with a shielded cable (of a different brand) that the problem went away.

Don't really need to review cables but the connectors are very secure. Very important feature in the middle of a 1TB backup session.

Seems to work well, and the striking green color is great for when you're looking at the back of the computer and seeing a bunch of other black and grey cables. I wish I could choose a different color for each drive to help keep things clear!

Very good cable. Made well and very durable. Great color so I can find it among the darkness behind the computer. Provides great transfer rates, unlike some bargain cables. The labels that come with it are great if you run multiple e-sata drives like me.

Flat design is unique. Works...just what a cable is supposed to do! I ordered my favorite color lime green, but what arrived was neon yellow. A little bummed about that - but it's only a cable and it resides at the back of my computer where I rarely see it. Such is life.

Cable split at connector. Very disappointing. I have other Lacie Flat cables (eSata and Firewire 800) which seem to be fine.
Would have bought more Lacie Flat cables but not now. Also hard to recommend to anyone else.

Over the last few months I have had to make several changes to my G5 Mac based DAW music recording system.I have changed both the SATA pci card as well as the SATA enclosures.These changes necessitated different SATA cables:
SATA->SATA
SATA->eSATA &
eSATA->eSATA
I can honestly state these are the best SATA cables I tried.
The Lacie eSATA cable are well constructed,the connection is nice and snug and they are easy to organize as the cables are flat.

Love the Green, I am still deciding on the flat. It seems all eSATA cables are flat, which doesn't allow them to twist very easily, but are easier to store.

I needed a smaller cable to carry with me when I travel. I am always losing things, I figured why not a bright LIME GREEN cable. It's Perfect and very durable.

I bought this cord mainly for the color. I lose a lot of things especially cords, so this is just the right one for me. I use it with my laptop as I travel a lot and 3.9' is perfect size.

Strong and duradle connectors and ends, and flexible cable that will lay nicely. I have never seen such an awesome green on any eSATA cable. It is the perfect length and design not to get all tangled up with all the other cables hanging off the back of your computer. Great product!

I use this wire for my eSata USB hard drive and the eSata connexion is 2 times faster than the usb. The color is just amazing for a wire, and its flat shape makes it very original.
