The MPA-3C from Shure is a music phone adapter that turns any pair of standard headphones or earphones into a stereo mobile headset. The adapter features a VoicePort microphone that filters out wind and background noise for clear communication. The built-in control button allows you to send and end calls. In situations where you don't need phone access, it's easy to detach the adapter and use your headphones as normal.
Observação! This unit has a 3.5mm plug, and connects to music phones such as the iPhone and Blackberry Curve. To connect to phones using a 2.5mm connector, such as the Palm Treo, please see the MPA-2B Music Phone Adapter.

Comments about Shure MPA-3C Music Phone Adapter:
it makes using my iphone easier, I don't have to take it out for every call or to listen to music. just click the button. Simple and until they make the iphone with stereo bluetooth, this is the way to go.
This is the second one I've had , the first one lasted for two years of constant use. The only drawback is that cord catches and gets snatched out of the phone on occasion ( that's what tore up the first one) .

Comments about Shure MPA-3C Music Phone Adapter:
Does exactly the job that it's supposed to. It controls the iPhone's media player, and that's pretty much it. I bought a second one because I have two sets of headphones, and I got tired of reaching for the button when it wasn't there! As a phone headset, it's adequate, but the mic tends to end up too far from my mouth.

Comments about Shure MPA-3C Music Phone Adapter:
This was a replacement for the one I purchased three years ago. It had a short in the wire just in front of the male plug. I love this adapter when it works. Perfect for using at the gym or out doing yard work. Just hope this one lasts longer!

Comments about Shure MPA-3C Music Phone Adapter:
I'm using it with my Sure SE530. I saw some complains about length of the cord, but SE530 comes with a very short cord, and with MPA-3C it makes perfect combination.
I don't see any cons so far.

Comments about Shure MPA-3C Music Phone Adapter:
l love that it lets me talk with my ec4 but there is hanging wire when you hang the mic near the mouth. This is the worst thing about it. But what can you do. It's great I can control my ipod and voice control.

Comments about Shure MPA-3C Music Phone Adapter:
I use it for my iPhone 4 with em ec-4. Love the button funcion for voice control and music forward. The mic is far away when connected to the earphones. Even with clip, you have long wire hanging on chest. Without clipping it it seems to function far away. Great product.

Comments about Shure MPA-3C Music Phone Adapter:
The microphone sounds great and it compliments my Shure headphones nicely, however, it has only a play/pause switch and lacks volume controls seen on Apple-branded headphones. This is surprising given the price (~$40). If Shure would add a volume switch, this would be a much better value.
