OK, so I just added this unit to the new Sharp Aquos LCD TV in Master Bedroom. I am so glad I bought this unit instead of the other 2 or 3 I was considering. First of all, setup was a breeze. From simple Clock functions etc all the way to WiFi Wireless Network Steup for Pandora and Netflix...It was cake and everything worked as described in the Manual. We tested Superbad as a Netflix Instant Stream..worked awesome...played Full Meta Jacket Blu Ray and it was great in HD Picture was super...then we played a standard DVD and it upscaled to a vey impressive picture....Like I said - it rocks!

I originally purchased this product from another dealer for the reason stated in the title. I wanted a Blu-Ray player with legacy analog output. It was the only model at the time that had those connections. The main board had to be replaced within four months, just outside of the factory labor warranty of 90 days. This really put the price of the equipment up there given that the player was only 4 months old and was at new model pricing when I purchased it. Upon return from the repair shop, the player barely played, not part of the original problem. Given that the labor warranty had expired, the manufacturer wouldn't stand behind the new repair. So, it got recycled. I purchased another for the same reason above, this time with an extended warranty. If this one performs better, I'll update my review (of course it will, I have the extended warranty).

The quality is fantastic. The only annoying thing is the software updates can only be retrieved when there is no disc in the player. No big deal though.

Comments about Samsung BD-P3600 Blu-ray Disc Player:
[...]The Blu-ray player was very simple to set up and I was eager to set up the wireless features. The unit located my home network, and linked up without problems after entering the network password and Pandora was streaming soon after. The Blu-ray player works flawlessly with my old VCD formatted discs, and any other DVD I tried. The Blu-ray disc features are nice, and gotta love the 1080p resolution. The remote worked just fine, and the easy color coding for Netflix, Pandora, YouTube is a simple but nice touch. No problems to note, and for the price and delivery I think this was a very good choice. Even though many titles are not on Blu-ray yet, the Netflix streaming download of Blu-ray is rather impressive, and never saw a glitch. I can see where there may be a glitch if your network has a hiccup, but it was smooth sailing. I'll probably never go to a video store or kiosk again!

I love this Blu Ray so much I wrote my first review!!! I am not really sure why people are having so many problems with this player. Don't get me wrong, the WiFI connection could be easier, but if you follow the instructions you should be fine. I usually never open the instruction manual on new electronics, but with all the poor reviews, I decided to do it right this time and read everything first. Everything went flawlessly! Granted it took me to the last step before I connected WiFi, but I did get it connected. I also remembered my password!! (thankfully) I connected to Netflix with ease!! I haven't tried Pandora yet, but I am sure it is just as easy as Netflix. The Blu Ray and standard DVD picture is excellent! I recommend this to anyone in the market for a Blu Ray player!!

Comments about Samsung BD-P3600 Blu-ray Disc Player:
My primary interests in this player were being able to stream netflix and being able to play content from my computer. The netflix stuff works far better than I expected... It will even stream HD content! As a bonus, it also plays U-Tube content quite well. I was however quite dissapointed that it will not play DVD files from my hard drive... I'm not interested in playing compressed low res computer files on my 60" HD monitor thank-you-very-much.
The Blu-Ray player seems to work and audio and video quality is quite good. It does seem that the player gets "confused" now and then and I need to unplug it for a few seconds to recover... Or perhaps I'm just impatient. I'm not convinced that this blu-ray stuff will catch on :-)

This player is fantastic. The speed of the disks from input to play time is great. The wireless internet is easy to set up. I don't like the dongle on the back (should have just incorporated it), but once put on, you don't even known it is there. Great Blue-Ray Player!

This Blu-ray player was a great deal! Blu-ray and wireless streaming video from Netflix, Pandora, etc. Fairly eay to set-up. You need to know how your Internet settings are set up, then set up is easy. Connected to Samsung 1080 LCD TV and Denon audio-surround system. HDMI connection is a must.

Comments about Samsung BD-P3600 Blu-ray Disc Player:
Just replaced an aging DVD player with the Samsung BD-P3600. The Samsung unit was easy to install and integrated nicely with my Samsung 8100 LED TV. The wireless network setup was a little tedious and took a few tries to decipher the cryptic wireless menu's. Once the network was set up I received many error messages about weak or lost signals and the internet connection would drop. Other wireless devices in the room report a strong signal so it must be a weakness in the USB receiver. I had to relocate the wireless receiver using a USB extension cord to a top shelf and that solved the problem.
I have several Samsung products so the remote and on-screen menu's were easy to understand and navigate. Playback quality on Blu-ray disks is outstanding and older DVD's were up-converted to HD. I connected to Pandora and listend to some music and also tried out the YouTube option wich worked fine.
I would recommend this product.

Clear, sharp picture, wireless. Connects to Netflix Pandora etc. Took many hours to get the connections right. We connected to a Samsung TV. Would probably be more difficult to connect to a different brand TV.

Comments about Samsung BD-P3600 Blu-ray Disc Player:
I stuck with this product because the basic Blu-Ray was really good, the audio was good, but the connectivity was problematic. Connecting was not a "slam dunk". It took some work and a new "N" wireless router. Now that it's connected it performs without a problem. Be sure to read all the docs before purchase!

Only had this for a week but so far we're loving it. Watch all our old DVD's and yes, Blu-Ray does look great on our HD TV. Automatically updates firmware. Streams films wirelessly, if you have a wireless router. Set-up takes a bit of time, but not difficult.

Comments about Samsung BD-P3600 Blu-ray Disc Player:
It's a good player. Make sure you read the types of discs that it does not play. I use it as part of a multi-display system. I have several display screens connected to it. The "problem" I have is that I can not see any of the screen so it's a little difficult to start playing the DVD "blind". Also when the DVD is set for "looping" the display freezes for a couple of seconds before it starts to play again.

This Samsung Blu-ray player is a wow! Not that it should matter, but the look of the machine is sleek and attractive. I like how the control buttons are touch pads on the top of the unit.
What I like best is that it is wireless. It recognizes my home network and allows me to download movies directly to my TV monitor!
The DVDs I've played look fabulous -- both Hollywood movies and my own burned videos!
I haven't yet tried a blu-ray disc, so that is still something to look forward to.
I had been on the lookout for a blu-ray player, but the wireless option was an impulse buy. Good impulse!! You will love this!!
p.s. Ok, it took me some time (about an hour) to set it up and get it going.

Comments about Samsung BD-P3600 Blu-ray Disc Player:
We bought this to be an all-in-one unit for our guest room and it does not disappoint. After setting up the WiFi unit (we needed to point it in another direction with the extender; it was spotty at first), we were able to connect to our Netflix account and Pandora accounts simply. The main page is elegant and straightforward: Netflix, Blockbuster, Pandora and YouTube each can be accessed by a single color-coded button on the remote. If you lose the remote, I could see this being a problem, but we have no complaints.
The quality of the uprezzed DVDs is astonishing, especially in 24p/Film Mode. And of course, the BluRay looks fantastic. The internal speakers are quite responsive, too.
This is a clutter-free genius box, and for the price and quality, it was a no-brainer.
