Unit matches Samsung's touch of color line, very nice design.
So far it's played all DVDs and Blu-rays I've thrown at it.
I still haven't connected it wirelessly so I can't comment on that, but I tried the connectivity with a cable and youtube works well. It's a shame to play the low-res videos on a big screen though. Searching is a pain with the numeric keypad, at least they should have printed letters on each number (like phones do).
Another bad thing about the youtube connectivity is that it doesn't show more than 5 pages of results :-(
Remote is OK, could have been better made. If you have a Samsung TV chances are you can use the TV's remote, although a couple of features might be missing.
The remote's reception is pretty bad, due to the design of the unit: it's made so that you can hang it on the wall, so when you put it on a table without the provided stand (which makes it too bulky) the remote receptor points UP. They should have put 2 receptors! :-(
Final quirk is the awkward position of all the inputs, they're INSIDE the unit, you need to mount and dismount a panel on the bottom to have access to it. WHY? My chunky HDMI cable BARELY fits.
All in all, a good unit to get in a bundle, but I'm sure you can do better if you're hunting for JUST the Blu-ray player.

We purchased the P4600 and a 50" Samsung flat screen TV as a package and placed them on a mantle in our bedroom. We did not intend to get a player for the bedroom but purchased this one because the package price was too good to pass up. Nevertheless, we have been pleasantly surprised with its performance and the way it looks. It really does look good with the TV. The remote is its own story.
The picture is excellent using Blu-ray disks and is good with DVD's. The player streams Netflix over our wireless home network and the picture quality ranges from good, to very good. We have not tried a USB source, a CD source, or a PC source.
The sonic capabilities of the player dramatically exceed the capabilities of the speakers in our TV so, we can't offer anything meaningful concerning sound quality.
In our home theater we have the well regarded Oppo BDP-83 Blu-ray player. The P4600 is slower to start playing a disk but not tediously slow. Most Bu-ray disks play as well on the P4600 as on the Oppo but not all. For standard DVD's, the P4600 is good but the Oppo is noticeably better.
A player's remote should have large primary function keys that are conveniently located. At the very least, the primary key grouping should include large keys for Play, Pause, Stop and somewhat smaller keys for Fast Forward, Fast Reverse and Next. Inexplicably, the P4600 remote's keys are among the smallest ones and are bunched closely together. They look like keys the manufacturer assumed you might need but would seldom use. Oddly, the largest and best located keys are the Channel and the Volume keys. Okay, Volume is handy but Channel?? What good is that? If you accidentally push it, the source changes to the TV broadcast and the disk stops playing. To recover you must find the Source key (which does not glow), restart the disk, and fast forward to where the disk stopped. This button should be disabled unless you have first selected the TV as the Source.
I'm really surprised that a company that produces so many players would furnish a remote that so poorly address the primary player functions.
The remote's keys have a good feel except that two of the navigation keys on our unit must be firmly pushed until they are flush with the remote's housing before they will work. This makes menu navigation frustrating. Our Samsung TV's remote has a similar ring of keys but all these work with a light and predictable push.
In summary, picture quality, physical appearance, Netflix streaming and price were the major attractions for us. The major wrinkle for some will be that disks must be inserted from the right edge so, several inches of clearance must be maintained on the right. The major detractions are the small size and poor layout of the primary operation keys on the remote control.

Comments about Samsung BD-P4600 Blu-ray Disc Player:
Netflix videos down-load is seamless, and with the Samsung 650 series LCD it DOES NOT require an an expert. It finds the wireless network. No wires!
Just insert a DVD and the Blu-ray turns on the TV and it runs.
Regular DVD (upconversion) are almost as good as Blu-ray.
You get what you pay for with this Samsung set up.

This is a great product with a bunch of great options. The 4600 also has the wireless connectivity module included. I think with the BDP1600 you have to buy it separately if needed. One cool thing about this model is that you can stream content off your PC. I haven't tried it and from what I have read it is a bit tricky. According to the manual it does not play DVD+Rs. So that is going to be a problem if you own a lot of this type of DVDs.

A high tech piece of equipment. Took a bit to install correctly, Blu-ray player and streaming video. Requires correct cabling. Found Samsung customer support to be very good. Worth the expense.

Excellent Product. I haven't had tons of time to play around with it, but the features are awesome and the Video is excellent. I just got the computer share function to work and I'm able to watch movies I've created and the quality is excellent. Downfalls - Wireless seems to drop connection (could be other hardware) and the remote has a delay when hitting buttons, but this could be with the angle at which the device is. Overall this is a great product and I would recommend it to everyone!

This thing looks more like a spaceship. When it turns on you'd think it's about to take off. Joking aside, it's a really cool toy. Excellent quality, decent remote. Excellent features with both wifi and wired internet options. I use Netflix and Pandora streaming all the time. Pandora doesn't always hook up at the first try, but that may not be due to the player, it may be my internet connections. I haven't had any of the problems I have read about online. The software update took a long time to download, but it worked fine.

Comments about Samsung BD-P4600 Blu-ray Disc Player:
I was looking for a slim profile blu ray player to go over my fireplace (on the mantle). I also wanted a player with wireless capability and netflix streaming. This player met these criteria and is GREAT! Its slim profile is sleek and hardly blends in well with my samsung tv. Another great feature is the ANYNET + technology that allows my samsung tv remote to control the blu ray player with not setup. The tv comes on with the insertion of a blu ray disc and tunes to the correct input. I also got an excellent product at an excellent price [...] I would buy from B&H again!!

Solid performer with great looks. One negative is the three hours or so it required of me to get the WiFi up and going, though well worth it once it was up and going. Streams fabulous from my 5Ghz N router that's located in a room approximately 30 feet away. Netflix, Blockbuster, You Tube, Pandora, etc, all work fine. This unit play my older music CD's and any DVD-R recordings I've burned from my computer. First thing I did was upgrade the software via USB flash drive. Upgrade was fast, worked fine. Other than the WiFi setup, this is a great unit, offered at a great price with the below mentioned TV as a package set through B&H.

Love the blu-ray and havent had much experience with other players. Watched a few blu-rays and had no issues. The last two have been having some issues. The player keeps stalling and then will be 4-5 minutes past the point it stalled once it comes back on, if it does come back on. Hitting the << arrows on the remote as soon as it does it will help. But you still end up 4-5 minutes ahead of your spot in the movie. Annoying but i can deal with it.
