I bought this LCD TV in May 2010, and it failed in Jan 2012. The picture flickered after turning on for about 15~20 minutes. I took the TV to a Samsung TV authorized repair center, and the diagnosis determined the flickering was due to failure of several capacitors on its power supply unit. Power supply unit failures appear to be a very common failure mode among Samsung LCD TV per my internet searches. I called up Samsung and asked if they would reimburse for the repair cost, and their represent said my TV model was not on their recall list, therefore, they would not pay for any part of my repair cost, which was $200. One of my coworkers also owns a Samsung LCD TV and his TV also failed due to power supply unit. I would stay away from Samsung products from now on.
