Sony's SRS-DB500 PC Speakers provide you with a powerful gaming experience. Hook these speakers up to you computer and feel the 300 watts of total power pass through you with two 75 watt speakers and the 150 watt sub-woofer that features bass reflex. I've seen this at [...] on display. Was quite eager to see if had the bass it claims to have, but it didnt impress me at first. However, I did some research and finally made my mind to buy it. I mostly buy my stuff from[...]( no tax[...]) which B & H has this for the same deal. [...] doesn't have this item which is surprising. Once I got the speakers set up to my computer it didn't sound so well till I figured it out. My SRS soundbox settings needed some tweaking. Tell you what, the sound is great. Better than my old 2.1 Creative speakers I replaced. The DB500 PC Speakers performs well.I'm content.Thx B & HYou'll be my second stop shopping.

I would give these speakers a 4 or 5 but the exterior design is sooo ugly that I just can't. They are crazy looking, I don't know who's taste these things were designed for, but they do sound great and are booming loud, great for a party! If you are looking for value over aesthetics- these are for you! I bought these for the office party --so the way they look didn't matter, great value and sound.

I am a klipsch fan when it comes to speakers; but a couple of weeks ago I decided to give this sony speaker a try, even after reading some of the negative reviews here. Don't be fooled, the design is great and the sound is beyond my expectations. I had to trash my klipsch promedia 5.1. These speakers and sub are connected to a Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Audio PCI Express Sound Card (70SB104000000). WOW! it feels like being in the club. No more Klipsch for me.

I was looking for a set of speakers to connect to my TV set, for a more reach sound. The main requirement was good sound and a remote.
After some research decided to try out the Sony SRS-DB5000 set.
Bought a set from a local store before ordering from B&H.
I must say they perform pretty good when playing LOUD.
But if you watch a movie late in the evening, you will not hear any bass unless you turn the volume up so that the highs will be TOO loud.
Ended up returning these and went for a set of BOSE Cinemate GS series II (which are more expensive, but are worth every dime).

These speakers are perfect for any laptop or desktop computer. the sound quality rivals that of much more expensive systems. then theres the bass. this subwoofer will rattle the windows in your entire house. the bass is perfect for parties if you just connect your ipod your ready to go. also the sub has a cool design and looks great. they are somewhat large but it is well worth it for the sound that they put out. I bought this unit to hear music on my Dell PC. The sound that comes out of the speaker takes your breath away from amazing sound it has, crispy clear and bass shakes the door oh yea their are very powerful. I didn't find any that aren't so great. Everything is great even the design on the woofer look awesome... I highly recommend them.

Once I got these speakers and set them up, the sound wasn't right. Till I figured it out. I have SRS soundbox and had to set the "Speaker Size" option to the right setting. And what a impressive difference of the bass is made. I listen to Pandora and the Sony SRS-DB500 makes a great listening experience.

Bought one because B&H ships APO, but plug it into 220 and fried the sub so I had to buy another one. I kept the speakers from the first one and spliced them with the new speaker set I got. Very very loud, subwoofer only kicks in during certain bass frequencies. Recommend for people gaming or listening to Hip-Hop. I blow everyone out with these babies. Sub woofer kinda bulky.
