The Powerline AV Network Kit from Linksys allows you to extend your home LAN without the need for costly and time-consuming wiring. The kit includes a transmitter and receiver module, giving you everything you need to get started.
The kit allows you to leverage your home's electrical wiring to extend the coverage of an Ethernet network. You can even use it as part of a wireless network to help eliminate "dead spots" in coverage. The receiver module features 4 Ethernet ports, allowing you to connect multiple devices without the need for a separate switch.

I live in a 72yr old home with plenty of duct work and foundation to block wireless signals. Because of a weak signal from downstairs to upstairs, I decided to try the powerline av network kit out. After hooking it up I was able to stream full HD to my xbox downstairs and to my cpu upstairs at the sametime without a hickup.
It worked so well that I decided to buy another set and put in my living room where I have a blu-ray player with netflix streaming. I'm happy to say that I can run netflix in full HD streaming in my living room, backroom, and upstairs at the sametime without losing picture quality. I cannot say the same to wireless. This is the fastest and most affordable without buying cat6 cable and manually installing it in the walls.
PS: Don't worry about ever losing signals again or slow bandwidth.

[...] I needed more adapters so I bought this kit. They work as expected but speed depends on your house's wiring and the location of the adapter in our home. Advertised 200Mbps is not realistic, more like 80-100Mbps if you are lucky. If reliable wireless is not option for you, powerline is not a bad alternative.

Using this product to connect HDTV to my LAN - without running any wiring. all over the house.
This little product allows making a high speed connection from HDTV's to my LAN router without the need to run new wiring all over the house. The high-end TV came with it's own built-in wireless system, however, it did not work very well sinec the TV and the wireless router were in separate rooms. This little system addressed the problem very gracefully.
Connection is a real breeze! and it workes perfectly.
We've been watching streamed in movies since it was installed.

Excellent in all respects, performance and quality. Ease of setup was outstanding and could not be simpler: connect device #1 to router and device #2 to computer. Plug devices into any electrical outlet or wall socket (not a surge protected outlet) and you are done. Devices sync and connect automatically. Connection speed is full network speed with no loss. (100mps on my network. This unit has additional security modes but this was not tested.

My house is on a concrete slab which makes running cable extremely difficult and there is almost no wireless coverage in my house. Using this I was able to stream video to my living room tv and set up an access point in that room to get coverage.

After reading a lot of reviews on A/V powerline kits I decided to go with the Linksys. I own a Linksys E3000 router and figured I should just stick with the same brand to avoid any issues. I have a bi-level house and found this to be the easiest solution for hard-wire networking a second home entertainment area upstairs (Blu-Ray player, gaming console, etc.).Setup up was an absolute breeze and should be so for anybody with the least amount of tech know how.I didn't have to go into my router settings or nothing. My only gripe is that the power cord end that plugs into the wall outlet could have been longer. One bit of advice is that they say the power cord end MUST be plugged directly into the wall outlet and NOT a power strip.

I have a number of devices in my apartment without wireless adapters that require networking. This product works flawless to circumvent pulling a cable to a hub and required no set up -- just plug and play. I only rate it 4 stars because it is not backwards compatible with the earlier 200 series.

I purchased this powerline kit in order to use the internet features of a new blu-ray player. The kit arrived on time, installed in just a few minutes, and my blu-ray player immediately recognized it. I've been able to stream Netflix movies in HD. I have not yet found a negative but it's only been a few weeks since I purchased it.

Grandson works for Cisco. My wife was having interrupted wireless reception. He suggested Linksys Powerline AV Ethernet Adapter, model PLE 200 about a year ago. Had one to fail and Cisco replaced it without a charge. For some reason, the Adapter stopped working again. Apparently this new adapter is supposed to give a true 100 megabyte rate. Rather than replace the PLE 2000, I chose to buy this NetworkNo problem installing, looks good in black, more ergonomic shape, and "works like a charm" so far.B&H had a better price than others - so why not use them for the first time.[...]

Been a few weeks. Just plug them in, just like the man said (I plugged mine into one of those big power cords that make for 8 places to plug electricals into). Only coordination here was to get the right unit on the right end, but simple quick start directions show you with big pictuers- easy as pie. It comes with 4 ports that you can plug in any cat 5 wiring size to, anything you have networked, computers, hard drives, printer/fax/scanner AND heck leave that last slot for another hub to get 8 more out of it like me- for exra's for that LAN party now and then. I did this to minimize the wireless stuff because I think it affects my sleep, call me crazy, but its worth it for me. Sleek little stand I have it standing up in. I use it for all my St George Utah Real Estate business needs at [@]

I purchased this product in order to have an Internet connection for a new Blu-Ray player. Setup could not have been easier. I plugged in the boxes to the electrical outlets and plugged in the network cables and I was up and running. The Sony Blu-Ray automatically found the connection and asked if I wanted to update the software, could not have been easier. I also purchased a second box in order to have a fast Internet connection in an upstairs office. Again, no problems at all, worked right out of the box. I highly recommend this product.

One caution - do not plug into UPS or surge suppressor - it will not work. Must go directly into electric outlet and then they work fine over pretty good distances and even between different electrical sub-panels.
