Out of the box, there is an intermittent failure in the cable near the female connector. Consequently one of the channels drops out when the cable is flexed.

I use this cable to take my MKE400 off the camera: on the improvised boompole or to use it as a hand held interview mic. Don't have any problems with the cable. An XLR cable is supposed to work better in such situations, but for this short lenght this cable seems to work just fine.
