The imagePROGRAF iPF810 PRO from Canon is a 44" large-format printer designed to meet the needs of users producing technical documents, including but not limited to Computer-Aided Design (CAD), GIS (Geographic Information Systems), and AEC (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction) work. This model features a single media roll and a package of professional software applications and a true Adobe PostScript color RIP designed to extend your productivity: RATIO CAD|STATION PS+, CAD|STATION PS+ Server, PLOTCLIENT|SET, PLOTCLIENT|HDI, and PLOTCLIENT|WEB,WINPRINT.
This printer uses a reactive ink system consisting of four highly colorfast dye inks (cyan, magenta, yellow and black) plus pigment-based matte-black ink. Reactive ink technology minimizes bleeding between colors so small text printed on colored backgrounds is crisp and legible. The four-color dye ink system also enhances color quality on a variety of substrates.
A built-in 80GB hard drive enhances the speed and performance of this unit. The printer is compatible with both Windows and Mac platforms. Other features include integration with your scan workflow on imageRUNNER devices and support for HP-GL/2 and HP-RTL page description languages.
The printer's unique sub-ink tank system allows you to replace ink during print jobs without shutting down the unit. Additional features include password-protected mailboxes to organize work queues for multiple users, automatic alerts, and a self-propelled double rotary-blade cutter.
This printer is qualified as an "Energy Star" product, a designation made in partnership with the EPA for products that promote energy efficiency. Products with this designation use half as much electricity as standard equipment and without any increase in their purchase price, thereby lowering your total cost of ownership over the equipment's useful life. A wide variety of supplies and accessories available for this unit allow you to further enhance its function to meet your exact needs.
