The Media Hub NMH405 from Linksys is an advanced network storage device, designed to act as the central repository for all of your digital media. More than a simple network hard drive, the Media Hub allows you to stream media to compatible home theater devices, share photos over the web, and act as a backup device.
The drive features a Gigabit Ethernet interface, fast enough to stream 3 streams of HD video simultaneously. It stores files on an internal 500GB hard drive by Western Digital. A second drive bay is open, allowing you to increase storage capacity as your needs dictate. The Hub features 2 USB ports, allowing you to connect external hard drives for storage expansion. The color LCD allows you to monitor device status or change settings, and the memory card reader lets you download pictures directly to the drive.
Web-based software is included with the drive, allowing most functions to work on Mac and Windows systems. It allows you to view and play media from the drive, directly on your computer screen. Viewing your media from the network drive allows you to free up space on your computer's internal hard disk. You also get a full year of free remote access with the purchase of the Media Hub. This allows you to access the content on your drive from anywhere that you have access to the Internet.

- Capable of streaming up to 3 HD video streams simultaneously
- Streams audio to UPnP music bridges, including the Linksys Wireless Home Audio systems
Remote Access
- Plug the Media Hub into your Internet router and you'll be able to access your media from anywhere you have an Internet connection
- Remote access is free for the first year, and only $9.99 annually after that
