There's no need to upload video or go through editing processes, if you don't want. Just capture the scene, pop the DVD into your player, and watch the video on your TV in all its glory. And, you can leave the camera at home when you're out with your DC420, because it also captures digital stills to SDHC memory cards.

The DC420 has a 1.07Mp CCD image sensor and the DIGIC DV II Image Processor for true-to-life color reproduction. Other features include 48x Advanced Zoom, electronic image stabilization, and the Quick Start Function.

If recording footage to hard drive or flash memory isn't quite your thing, consider DVD recording with the DC420.

• Record to DVD: Capture video to 3" (8cm) DVD-R/-RW disks for up to 30 minutes of footage in Standard mode and up to 60 minutes in Long Play mode. Using DVD-R DL disks lets you store up to 108 minutes

• Image Sensor & DIGIC DV II: The DC420's 1.07Mp CCD image sensor works in tandem with Canon's DIGIC DV II Image Processor to reduce image noise and customize the color and tonality of your video and still images

• 48x Advanced Zoom: Canon's 48x Advanced Zoom lets you record far off subjects clearly and in focus with exceptional image quality. You also have the option to use 37x Optical Zoom or 2000x Digital Zoom

• 2.7" Widescreen: The widescreen LCD gives you a generous display on which to compose and playback your shots, not to mention an accurate view of what you're actually recording

• Electronic Image Stabilization: The electronic image stabilizer corrects for inevitable camera shake that's likely to happen, not just due to an unsteady hand, but when you're subject is moving or you're accidentally bumped

• Digital Photos: There's no need to carry both a digital camera and camcorder to every event. The DC440 captures digital still photos to SDHC memory cards and includes special functions to make shooting easier, such as scene modes and auto focus

• Quick Start Function: Never miss that once in a lifetime moment because you're waiting for your camera to start up. Once you open the LCD the DC420 is ready to record
