Are you looking for an affordable and uncomplicated way to record family functions and maybe the occasional vacation? With Canon's entry-level DC410 DVD Camcorder you can capture events, like your child's birthday, and immediately watch the footage on your TV. Just pop the DVD into your player and enjoy every moment right then and there with your friends and family. And, because the DC410 also captures still images, there's no need to have multiple devices strapped around your neck. DVD-R/-RW disks will hold up to 60 minutes of video and DVD-R DL disks up to 108 minutes; still images can be stored to SDHC cards.
The DC410 also features Canon's DIGIC DV II Image Processor and a 1/6" CCD sensor for recording clean video and stills, while the 41x Advanced Zoom brings your far off subjects closer with clarity. At the same time, electronic image stabilization makes shooting easier by correcting for hand shake and the occasional slight bump to the elbow. In addition, both external microphone and headphone terminals assist in recording enhanced audio over what you can capture with just the internal microphone. The DC410 keeps it simple and still offers up a few extras.

Comments about Canon DC410 DVD Camcorder:
I use this camera to tape my sons basketball game and our new baby, its been very easy to use. It took good still shots at his basketball games. I first had some trouble finilizing the dvd but once I figured that out it was great and we could just pop the dvd out from the camera and watch it in our dvd player.

Comments about Canon DC410 DVD Camcorder:
This camera is not a good camera if you have a macbook or a macbook pro the mini DVDs do not fit in the CD or DVD drive and the memory card is just for taking photos. think twice before you purchase this camcorder.

Comments about Canon DC410 DVD Camcorder:
Bought for family movies and videos: camera vignettes no longer suffice. Great zoom! But no firewire port, and the zoom button seems backward from what I would intuitively assume (push in, pull back).

Comments about Canon DC410 DVD Camcorder:
We have 2 sons that are musicians and we record their performances. We were looking for a camera that would record video & sound very well in public performances. The microphone input jack allows us to use better michrohones, however the camera's built in mics work very well and the sound is clear. Video image is excellent. The only draw backs are: 1. the zoom button is very sensitive. It takes some adjustment getting use to zooming in & out. 2. The Power and Record buttons are too close to each other. It's easy to power off when you meant to hit the record button. Other than that it's a great camera.
