Samsung HMX-H104 Compact Full High Definition Camcorder
The Samsung HMX-H104 Compact Full High Definition Camcorder gives you true 1920 x 1080i HD recording and 1280 x 720 progressive recording. Unlike most HD camcorders, which only offer interlaced recording, the H104 gives you the option of interlaced or progressive. Progressive displays the entire frame for the most vibrant, detailed video images. In addition, the camcorder's 1/4.5" CMOS sensor with 2.2MP captures and records beautiful video and 4.7MP still images.
The H104 records to the internal 16GB Solid State Drive for up to 3 hours of record time. You can also record to SD/SDHC memory cards. The SSD flash memory helps keep the camcorder size small and light; it's also more reliable because there are no moving parts, making the camcorder less susceptible to data loss.
Other features of the HMX-H104 include the touch panel 2.7" LCD, optical image stabilization, and a built-in flash. In addition, the camcorder features Time Lapse Recording for viewing an extended scene, such as a sunset, in a shortened period of time. Great video and features for the price. 1080 long clips are large, but would be large for any HD camcorder. I've been recording most of my clips at 720, still great video and much smaller file sizes. Battery life is ok. Features are just enough for me. Supplied software makes it very easy to offload and edit clips.

This is a great camcorder. I used it for Disney when my family and I went there in May. The only downside is the ability to get the video off of the camera. If you do not have a computer with a powerful video card and processor, then forget it. All you will get is choppy video with missed frames. Also, unless you have a blu-ray burner with the proper software, then you are wasting the quality it produces. File sizes are large at the highest setting.
