The MG-800HD Media Player from MediaGate is a compact device that connects to your HDTV via HDMI. It allows you to watch video files, listen to music, or view photos that are stored on your Windows PC. Files are streamed via the player's built-in 802.11n Wi-Fi.
You'll also be able to install a SATA hard drive in the device for internal storage. Adding a drive allows you to store media locally, and to utilize the integrated BitTorrent client to download media from the Internet.

Comments about MediaGate MG-800HD Media Player:
Easy to use - great image - versatile connectivity.
Like all video players, it can have problems with some formats. However, with a little patience you can reformat a troublesome media file and it will work properly. There are some minor problems which I expect will be fixed with forthcoming firmware releases, but no showstoppers.
On the downside it runs pretty hot.

Comments about MediaGate MG-800HD Media Player:
I have this unit attached to my Pioneer LX70. Setup was easy, the image and sound via HDMI is great. Unfortunately, the device (it is temporary?) does not support TrueHD and DTS-HD MA.... Big BDRemux are played without problems, but only not on a network..... IMHO, needs firmware updates.......
