Pentax Optio P70 Digital Camera (Silver)

The camera also boasts superb macro capabilities with a minimum focusing distance of 4" in wide mode.

- Using shake reduction reduces blurred subjects without requiring an ISO speed boost which results in noisy photos. Compensating for shake via physical methods is more effective than electronic anti-shake methods.
- Auto Picture Mode
- The Auto Picture mode on the Optio P70 automatically determines the shooting conditions for 8 different shooting modes and selects the optimum settings for each subject.
- Fast Face Recognition AF & AE
- The Optio P70 is equipped with Face Recognition AF & AE functionality that automatically detects and focuses upon a maximum of 32 faces ensuring proper exposure regardless of where faces appear in the photo's frame. The P70 can recognize faces in as little as 0.03 seconds. In addition, exposure settings are automatically adjusted to optimize for faces, even when backlit. The facial recognition is enhanced by Smile Capture and Blink Detection that alerts you to any less than perfect pictures.
- Record HD Movies with Sound
- The camera can record video with accompanying audio at a max resolution of 720p @ 15 fps. There is also a voice memo mode that allows users to attach a sound recording to an image.

I switched to Pentax and I never regreted it. My P70 has excellent picture quality, the shake resistance feature is the best, the frames are lot sharper and clearer then my other cameras were.
Amazing zoom and clarity. I took concert shots with it and my pictures came out a lot better then my friend's shots that were made with another brand. I will never buy anything else other than a Pentax.
