I chose the GZ-MS120 from a bunch of non-HD camcorders in the $200 to $300 price range, after many hours of research. All of the reported positives were evident (picture quality, color balance, low noise at low light levels, general ease of use, etc.) Image stabilization, although not optical, works well.
Where I was really pleasantly surprised was taking on the reported weaknesses. The touch sensor was reported to be somewhat squirrely, and although it requires a gentle touch, it can be learned quickly. The hand strap was supposed to be a weakness, but I found that adjusting it properly (easy) makes a big difference, such that it can really be a plus.
Since it was on the low end of my budget, going for B&H 3 year warranty was a no-brainer.

I find this to be a "cute" camera. I have Nikon digital, but I wanted a video for my Grand Children. This camera for [$] from [@] is so cute and easy to use. I have had night mares trying to clear the SD cards. The videos download to the computer, but is not says no space available, eventhough I checked "delete" after download. I do not know what to do. The Cleark stressed to me to hold on to my receipt, so I could return it if I am not happy. This si the only thing that I do not like. My camera downloads and erases in no time. HELP

The video quality is very good. The picture quality is pretty poor. I would recommend this if you are using it only for recording video but if you are looking for a two in one deal then I would look for something with better still picture quality. The playback sound and operation of the device is easy the touch pad is a little sensitive but not too bad.

I have been using this camera to shoot action shots of myself pitching. It's captures the video with great quality and is so compact. Easy set up and once you turn on you are ready to film. Only difficult thing is operating the touch slide bar, but you get used to it pretty quickly.
