I use this for filming sporting events and events the grandchildren are involved in. This is a very easy camcorder to use, lightweight, and does a very good job for the price. Battery only lasts about 1 1/2 hours, so recommend you get a second battery if you intend to do a lot of recording at one time.

Its one of the best Camcorders I have ever had. It comes with a flash light and everything you need to do either a min. recording or a couple hours. It has like the best features. I am glade to have it, and you should think about getting one too. :)

I bought this JVC camcorder recently and I used to for my trip. I think this is a really good camcorder. I am extremly satisfied with my decision because it was a toss up between Sony 60 gb and JVC 60 gb and I decided to go with JVC since i got a good deal with B&H. The product arrived in perfect condition.Great Things About itVery good picture quality, I took lot of videos and came out really well even for a beginner like me.Sound Quality is also excellent.It is very easy to use, no issues at all, it is very light weight and compact and nice design as well.It will almost fit in your palm.I connected it to the TV and Laptop and the picture quality is same as we see in the camcorder screen. I read some reviews like the picture quality is not good when connecting to the TV, but I didn't feel anything like that. Things that can be improved.There are some things which I noticed which is not so great about this camera.1. Battery- The battery which comes with it will last only for an hour. This is the major drawback with this product, but I have to mention here that I was aware of this issue when I decided to purchase it. You can get 4.5 JVC battery from some online stores for $62. At [...] it costs $100 plus.2. It has 40x zoom which is sufficient for 95% of the use. But sometimes you will feel a little bit more zoom would have been nice. But this is a very minor issue and should not be a factor in making a decision. I am just explaining the details so that others can make a more informed decision. Reviews from other users helped to pick this camera.Overall this is a very nice product and if you can spend another 50-60 bucks to buy a 4.5 hr battery, I would say this product is almost flawless.

really a great camera all around, but one problem: it records in a format that pinnacle 12 does not recognize. the included software will convert the files to windows media files, but at a smaller (lower quality) resolution. hoping still to resolve this.
