I'm just a casual video person... the R10 is nice and compact, takes great video (although the lack of optical stabilization is a sore spot for me), and has great cool features in the slow motion and time lapse video. Overall, I'm still very happy with the purchase of it after taking it all over Europe on our recent 2 week vacation...
