When the folks at Sony designed the Sony Cyber-shot T90 Digital Camera they somehow managed to comfortably squeeze a 12.1 megapixel (1/2.3") Super HAD CCD imaging sensor and a Carl Zeiss-designed 4x (35 - 140 mm equivalent) power zoom into a sleekly designed brushed aluminum body that measures a mere 5/8" thick. As icing on the cake they tossed in 720p HD video capture with stereo sound. Are we having fun yet or what?
The camera's 3.0" Clear Photo LCD touch-screen display enables you to control all of the cameras functions by simply tapping on the menu screens, and there's an impressive selection of exposure and scene mode selections including an Easy Shooting Mode for those wishing to keep things nice and simple. There are also numerous in-camera retouching tools available for enhancing your pictures post-capture.
Still images can be captured at 8 levels of JPEG compression and video with stereo sound at 3 levels of image compression to best fit your needs. To further enhance your pictures, the Cyber-T90 has a PHOTOMUSIC feature, which combines music and a selection of visual effects into your still image slideshows and video clips.
For admiring your pictures on a grander scale, you can output images at sizes up to and exceeding 13x19", or view them in high-definition on a Sony BRAVIA or similarly compatible HDTV using the optional VMC-MHC2 HD output adapter cable.
The Sony Cyber-shot T90 is powered by a rechargeable lithium-ion battery, which is good for about 200 images (or about 100 minutes of video), and along with 11MB of internal memory, records images onto Memory Stick PRO and Memory Stick DUO PRO (up to 16GB) media.

Being an avid hiker / backpacker I need a camera that is small, slim and lightweight. This one fits the bill perfectly! It is my second SONY of this type--broke my first one and it was my fault!

Comments about Sony DSC-T90 Cyber-shot Digital Camera (Silver):
This thing blows any camera of similar size out of the water, 'nuff said.
Pull the front slide down and the camera is photo ready in less than three seconds, the shots are rather quick for a digital and the quality is super!
This camera was recommended to me and i would most definitely recommend it to anyone else asking for point-n-shoot camera advice!

Comments about Sony DSC-T90 Cyber-shot Digital Camera (Silver):
I use this camera professionally to take photos and videos for a webpage. I replaced the T77 for this one to get 2 more megapixels. Besides that, the results are almost the same. Quality for this purpose is very good and video image and sound are great. Not so great that at a certain point the touch screen will become uncleanable and fingertips will remain there forever, but still working, and the pressure of the finger in the screen icons, even when it's new, some times don't work properly, and you don't know if you should apply weak or strong pressure. The speed of the zoom is too fast.

Comments about Sony DSC-T90 Cyber-shot Digital Camera (Silver):
I use this camera mainly to take photos of my handmade jewelry. Even without a tri-pod it takes very clear (not blurry from a shaky hand) pictures, especially in the advanced macro mode. The advanced macro mode allows me to get extremely detailed images that are great for posting on my website.
I also use this camera for regular day-to-day events & activities.
Overall, this is a near perfect camera for my requirements.

Comments about Sony DSC-T90 Cyber-shot Digital Camera (Silver):
Just finished a 10-day bicycle tour of Europe using the camera. It is truly an amazing camera, and was always ready with absolutely no problems. The camera was easily stored in small pockets, and very simple to use one-handed on the fly. It had all the capabilities I needed for day or night operations, and did very well in poor lighting and in the rain. It recharges rapidly using U.S. or European voltages - this one is a keeper.
