      Comments about Line 6 POD Studio UX1 - Recording Interface:

      Cool tones. Software installation a pain. Line 6 website says to download the newest Pod Farm 2.5 first and skip the Pod Farm 2.0 on CD BUT you must first install the CD then update.

      Comments about Line 6 POD Studio UX1 - Recording Interface:

      * I use it for recording bass & guitar tracks
      * I was FLOORED by how good my bass sounded!
      * Nice compact size
      * Pod Farm 2 Plugins are the best there is
      * You can use separate elements of Pod Farm for use as VST/AU/RTAS plugins
      * Afraid to plug a regular guitar in, because I'm afraid it will render my expensive Vox amp useless!
      * Mic input not of much use without phantom power - but I have separate mic preamps anyway
      * You MUST read the PDF files to set it up for use in your DAW - NO printed documentation supplied

        Comments about Line 6 POD Studio UX1 - Recording Interface:

        I'm a newbie to home recording and suggestion to check out the UX1 came from my guitar teacher.

        Two weeks in and I've had nothing but fun with it!

        Set up was quick and the UX1 interfaces cleanly and simply with my iMac via USB. This little unit (one instrument input and one mic input) has made multi-track recording with "Garage Band" a whole new experience in the best possible way. The variety of FX available with the included Pod Farm and Pod Farm 2 (free download upgrade after set up) has me feeling like a kid in a sonic candy store - there's a whole lot to play with. (Note: the only hitch came in navigating Line 6's website in order to find and download Pod Farm 2. Less about the UX1 itself - which is very cool - than about the relative user-friendliness of Line 6's website - which might not be quite as cool.)

        The bottom line is that I'm really enjoying using the UX1. I've been able to put together at least one new musical piece each day I've used it. Not so bad for a first time out!
