The Line 6 / X2 XDR955 Digital Wireless Handheld System delivers professional, digital wireless transmission at an affordable price. The system includes the XDR4 receiver, XDH4 handheld transmitter and with the Audix OM3-X microphone capsule. The system transmits 24-bit digital audio signal and eliminates the noise associated with analog compander circuitry.
An easy to use interface results in effortless operation; simply turn the receiver and transmitter on, set them both to the same channel (5 are available) and speak. The receiver features both an unbalanced 1/4" phone output and balanced XLR output. Q-diversityPLUS reception reduces drop out and RF (Radio Frequency) interference. The XDH4 handheld transmitter is lightweight, and operates up to 8 hours on two AA alkaline batteries.

Comments about Line 6 XDR955 Digital Wireless Handheld Microphone System:
We purchased two of the Line 6 XDR955 units for use in a seminary chapel, primarily for vocal performance. Compared to equivalently priced models from the other big brand names, which we also use, you getter a higher quality mic and better sound, plus more features. The microphone is solid and does not feel cheap, and has a battery level indicator (very helpful). The receiver also has a battery level indicator that is made up of maybe 10-12 LED lights, so it offers much better detail than the full, 2/3 or 1/3 indicators you so often see.
For any future rack-mounted wireless handheld microphone purchases I need to make, I will purchase this unit again. Note that there are only 5 available channels, so this is only scalable to a certain level.
