The Stealth Control from Numark is a professional-quality DJ control surface that comes with DJing software. It enables you to control most of the functions of the software without having to use the mouse and keyboard of the computer. The tactile feel of controlling your sounds with buttons, knobs, and faders, makes performing with the Stealth Control a more enjoyable experience.
With a computer, some music files and an audio interface you will have everything you need to create dynamic DJ mixes anywhere you go. The Stealth Control features plug-and-play simplicity with Mac and Windows computers, so instead of getting a headache you can get right into the music.
Numark went out of their way to make the Stealth Control as durable as possible. Its all-metal chassis, and all of the knobs, faders, and buttons are solid and built to last. The ease and simplicity of having your hardware controls pre-mapped to the software make mixing with the Stealth Control feel like you're using dedicated hardware. However, this isn't the case. All of the controls on the Stealth Control can be re-assigned to any software application with MIDI mapping functionality.

Comments about Numark Stealth Control - Professional Computer DJ Performance Controller and Software:
I've been Dj'ing for some years now and was looking into keeping up with technology and came across the stealth controller. What sold me was the price, the look, the description, and the reviews.
Initially I had an issue with using the traktor software, but found the fix for that. It worked ok, but I wasn't feeling it so to speak. So I tried it with Virtual Dj, for me it works much better with that program, scratching is not an issue as you can scratch on an active table (which you can't do with the traktor software)
Overall I am pleased with the product, practice and patience will get the job done.

Numark dj controller is the best bang for buck but only if you buy from b and h.. I'm the type of person that likes to hold something in their hands before I purchase it and i always shop at [@]. and it was twice as much there with out any type of audio card. purchasing from b and h was very smart I believe because you able to tryout the equipment and if you are unsatisfied with it you can send it back within 30 days also they follow up emails and make it extremely easy to track your item. in the future I may go down to [@] to see what I want but when I go to purchase it I will always use b and h from here on out

Comments about Numark Stealth Control - Professional Computer DJ Performance Controller and Software:
The build quality is great, plenty of controls to work with and nothing I couldn't change. The included software isn't my favourite, and is certainly not going to work at an actual gig, but I have my own. One thing to note is that if you so much as nudge the jog wheel (or rotate the controller for that matter), the track will stop and move at the speed of the jog wheel. I'm going to have to figure out how to disable them, as it's a little hard to guarantee that a table at any good gig won't be shaking at least a little.

I hooked this up to my Mac, after a bit of fiddling I got it mapped to traktor. Not too difficult, just import the settings from the CD ROM
The controls are ruggedly built, jog wheels nicely balanced and the layout is what you want from a mixer.
This is just what I expected. If you don't have your own sound card you could get the omni or buy a sound card to allow headphone use.
Of course it has no ins and outs.
I can't find anything wrong with it so far!

I have just recently recieved my Numark Stealth Control. This is an amazing peice of technology that has a sturdy feel to it. This is definately not a toy but the perfect start to Dj-ing. The only conn that i have toward this device is the lack of cue buttons. Although, i have coupled it with a Korg nanoKontrol and the two work so well together they should be married!

everything works great about it. but, i give it only 4 stars for that when you move the nobs or the job wheel when nothing is playing, you hear interference through the speakers.
so only for that, i give 4 stars because it is still a great product.

I use this controller at friends parties and have been very satisfied with it. Just threw the traktor install cd in and it worked right away.
PROS
As long as you add on an external sound card this mixer will do exactly what you want. Very good design. Feels solid.
CONS
Could use some more flashy lights and a cue play button, but I suppose I could just remap a button to that.

Comments about Numark Stealth Control - Professional Computer DJ Performance Controller and Software:
I bought this for my cousin who is gettin into djing. The impressive thing about this is, its compact and packs enough power a mobile a dj should have, of-course when teamed up with a good sound card and a notebook. It jus took us a 10 minutes and 2 downloads (for midi maps) to set this up with the notebook and start playin. The controller looks well built.. does not have the plastic feel to it. Most of the Djing softwares (Traktor, VDJ,Deckadance, etc) support this natively that pretty much allows u to plug n play. This is a good pick for beginners. But that does not mean it got nothin for pro's. Traktor installation disk is a bit screwy. Did not work fine on Win 7.Does not have buttons to map all the features (Sampler,Relooper,Cue point selection...etc). One more downside is they could have added a carry pack for the same like other manufacturers do.

Comments about Numark Stealth Control - Professional Computer DJ Performance Controller and Software:
I bought the Numark Stealth Control to DJ live hip hip/pop/house, and I have to say that I haven't been overly disappointed by its performance.
However, I must say that I was disappointed on a few points that I was not anticipating when I bought it and hope that you find useful.
First and foremost, this mixer is only properly mapped for use with Traktor LE, not Traktor Pro, not Scratch, not other software packages, just Traktor LE; further, the map file that is provided for use with these others (the file from Numark's own website) is not complete, and only maps about 1/3 of the controls.
After some time, I was able to remap it, and change things to my liking, but it is definitely not for the novice. My only other con is that the job wheel has absolutely no resistance to it, so a slight nudge can quickly upset things, especially if you're working live.
That being said, it did work great with the software it comes with, it has a very solid, durable build, and it's great looking mixer.
Would buy again--4 stars.

Comments about Numark Stealth Control - Professional Computer DJ Performance Controller and Software:
Very straightforward product. Works well in Traktor and Virtual DJ which both have native support for it. It's perfect for your beginning/bedroom dj. It has just enough features to do basic mixing and/or mashups without having so many features that it becomes overwhelming. It does lack a soundcard so if that is important get the Omni Control instead or buy a separate soundcard. You'll need one if you want to separate the sound of the mix from what's actually playing on the speakers. Also, a lot of reviews on the product that are floating around seem to be based on an older model of the stealth control which previously featured a scratch button. The buttons are no longer mapped that way on the current version. Check with the manufacturer's website to stay up to date with the current model being offered.

I use this controller in gigs, shows exellent performance and works perfect with the software.
The most thing i like about this dj controller is the design of it, its very solid and gives you the professional feeling when you are on the mix. Also it comes with Traktor LE(which u can upgrade to PRO) and with MixMeister Fusion Live(Full Version).
The only bad thing is the small jogs which are difficult to Scratch with.

Comments about Numark Stealth Control - Professional Computer DJ Performance Controller and Software:
Use: purely hobby and recreational.
First off, when you get this thing out, you feel like you are holding a real piece of equipment - not a plastic toy. The metal body is solid giving it a nice heft and it just looks plain cool. The knobs and faders all have a nice rubberized coating and feel great when working them. The downside of the controls are: the faders wiggle a little (very little) side to side and the EQ knobs (press to kill) don't have a super positive click but do have leds to let you know if it is active or killed. All buttons are hard plastic, and feel a little odd, but on the plus side all of them light up when active, making it easy to see at a glance what's going on. The jog wheels are a little small but feel rock solid and move smoothly with no wobble. This is not a unit for beat jugglers or serious turntable work- you can only scratch while the deck is stopped. Simple baby scratches, transforms, and even rewinds are possible but only as "effects" to compliment the playing deck. Browsing and loading songs can be done from the unit itself, without using the mouse. Hooking up the unit is plug-and-play: one usb cable and you're done. The included software (Traktor LE) has a map for the stealth, and the first time you run it you select the unit from a list, and you are ready to start playing. The software does a great job analyzing bpm with electronic and simple hip hop tunes but seems to be way off with anything else. Luckily, the tap button is easy to use and loading songs is super quick. Syncing tempo can be done automatically or manually, with the pitch slider, pitch nob, jog wheel, or pitch bend buttons. Using the jog wheel as a pitch bend is one of my beefs. When the deck is playing, the jog wheel will bend the pitch of the song. It is too easy to bump the wheel or even rock the table enough to register a bend. I haven't looked into it, but since it is midi I'm going to try to un-map the pitch bend from the jog wheel. How many bend controls do I really need, anyway?
Obviously, there is not an on-board sound card. I'm using the NI audio 2 DJ.
All in all, an exceptional little device for the price.
