The concept is great, but unfortunately 99% of the time the ski report is wrong or out of date. I live in NYC, full signal and confirmed with tech support that the report from the data feed (onthesnow.com) does not always match whats displayed on the device (both on mine AND the one tech support had). For instance, the past five days Stratton ski resort showed "Wet Snow" when it's actually been hard pack. The number of open trails is almost always wrong. When it does correct itself, it's usually at the end of the day. Oh, and it doesn't work in rural areas where ski mountains are in case you were planning on having it up in your ski condo or something. The only thing that was generally accurate and up to date on the device was the weather portion.

What's great about it is that it has forecasts for all of the major ski areas and it is constantly updated by Accuweather so it is very accurate. The only thing that would be a negative about it is that there is no backlight for the screen so it is hard to read in low light.
