The Oboe headphones from WESC provide high-quality sound in a comfortable package, ideal for listening to an MP3 player, CD player, computer, or home stereo. The headphones feature high-power 30mm drivers to produce a wide frequency range with deep bass and clear treble.
The on-ear design with cushioned leatherette earcups, combined with the adjustable headband provide long-lasting comfort. The cloth-covered cable is single-sided to prevent tangles, and comes with an extension for extra slack. The 3.5mm stereo mini plug is compatible with a wide variety of consumer electronics devices.

The headphones' comfort seemed OK when I tried them in the store, and I liked their design. However when I put them on at home they were so tight I had to take them off after 30 minutes. No adjustment worked for me, and I am not a big woman - my head is fairly normal sized, and I never had that problem with my previous headphones. I had to return that product and get back to my good old Bose. The sound was good, I just couldn't use them.

First, let me say that these are not headphones for "audiophiles".
Right out of the box they rumble with way too much bass and the mids and highs beckon to be heard behind it all.
After breaking them in, however, the bass tames down and spreads out, making room for the other sounds to peek through giving them an overall good sound.
I am using these headphones specifically to replace the earbuds that came with my Zune. That being said, there are features on these cans that forced me to choose them over comparatively priced and better sounding Grados and other brands.
First, they are light-weight, and since I am going to be wearing them all over NYC, this is a must.
Second, the wire is corded, meaning it looks more like a tiny rope than a wire, and is more durable and almost guaranteed not to tangle.
Third, the cord is only eighteen inches long and plugs into a three foot extension. First, this adds to durability, if the input end of the plug is damaged through stress and bending, it is easily replaceable. Also, the short version can be used if you put your mp3 player in a pouch on a shoulder strap, in a band on your arm, or if you use an ipod shuffle you can clip it directly to the hedphones, all without the extra wire hanging down.
The plug on the eighth-inch input is very small in diameter so it fits properly into the case that I have for my Zune without any modifications, which would have been made for almost every other pair. This plug is designed for the iPod Touch.
Last, and possibly least, they are stylish. Not my top priority, but I have to admit they look really cool.
