I have a slide collection of more than 2000 to scan. After a week, at my leisure, 500 slides were already scanned. I was amazed how fast 4 slides were scanned in the slide holder. For the price it is fantastic. The software that came with it is excellent. I have no gripes. I am organizing the slides for a slide show by year, oldest year first. I can also add titles and music. Although some of the older slides have to be enhanced most of the scans may need little or no enhancing. That would be the last step. A great tip......Use a hair dryer in the cold position to blow both slides while in the holder. A brush only moves the dust to another spot.Do not touch the film. Do not scan the slides backwards. Yes, I would reccomend it highly.

Was going to convert old slides that belonged to my grandparents.....very poor images....lots of noise...or pixels...better off holding them up to a light. Plz don't waste your money on this converter...I returned mine the same day.

Comments about Pacific Image Memor-ease 35mm Film & Slide Converter:
This device is not very good. The software driver freezes up and the quality of the image capture is very poor. It is more like a child's toy than a serious tool for converting images to digital format. I would not recommend it to my worst enemy.

Comments about Pacific Image Memor-ease 35mm Film & Slide Converter:
The Memor-ease is easy to install and use. It provides adequate scans of slides. The integration with Adobe Photoshop Elements is not explained very well. There is no good explanation on how to organize slides using Elements, and you can fill up temprorary disk if you do not clean out you catalog (not sure I still understand this issue).

I have slides from a 1969 LA to NYC motorcycle trip. My projector went bad years ago. It's great to see them digitized:[@]

Comments about Pacific Image Memor-ease 35mm Film & Slide Converter:
I am not a computer expert by any means but this unit was easy to install and does everything I need it to do. I need to digitize quite a few old slides that I had taken or bought over the years. Some of these will be used to make photo shop background scenes. No problem for this unit. The only drawback I can think of is that this is not a high volume unit. It does 4 slides at a time and can handle 16 or 20 before you down load and label them. For me, that is OK for others, that may be a volume restriction.

I purchased this item to transfer a bunch of my father in law's old slides to jpg's. It took me about four hours to get it setup because neither my desktop or my laptop would recognize it. After a few hours of playing with settings and uninstalling other software, I switched out the USB cable that was included for one of my own and it worked like a charm.

Comments about Pacific Image Memor-ease 35mm Film & Slide Converter:
Great for previewing negative strips as positives on your computer screen quickly - better than anything out there for this price and purpose.
Fine for capturing old snapshot slides and negatives - resolution is adequate for most purposes.
Use something else if you need high resolution scans of 35mm work.
Overall I'm glad I bought this device.
