The Pocket Wizard N90M-ACC-ND Nikon Pre-Trigger cable connects to your Nikon camera's 10-pin electronic release socket to enable your MultiMax or FlexTT5 Pocket Wizard radio slave set to trigger the camera's shutter remotely. This pre-trigger cable is intended to keep the camera constantly "awake". The pre-trigger switch can be set on or off to save battery energy. Once set on the "awake" mode, the camera will trigger much faster but will also use up more battery power.
This cable is only for use with the MultiMax or FlexTT5.

Used the motor drive cable with two flexTT5s to capture pictures of a nesting killdeer. Worked great.

Comments about PocketWizard N90M-ACC-ND Pre-Trigger Motor Drive Cable for Nikon 10-Pin Cameras:
I would have given this product a 0 but I can't. I bought this cable hoping it would work on my D700. Spent days with pocketwizard customer service. Still no success. I went to my local store and we tried another identical cable still no success. Updated firmware and did factory reset on my PW still doesnt work. Think twice before wasting money on this cable.

Comments about PocketWizard N90M-ACC-ND Pre-Trigger Motor Drive Cable for Nikon 10-Pin Cameras:
Remote triggering a camera should be simple. When I called PocketWizard about making this work even they weren't sure if it was the right cable for the Nikon D700. I was never able to make this function. The tech on the phone seemed confused about the number of detents in the cable end. He suggested trying Basic Trigger mode only on the Flex TT5 but his proved fruitless not to mention a less than perfect compromise.
Though the PocketWizard site recommends this cable. I can't see how it works. It may be that there are several being sold that are improperly manufactured and need to be recalled.
