Comments about Acer Aspire One Netbook Computer (Sapphire Blue):
I researched this for quite a while before buying it. I gave it 5 stars because it had what I needed for the value.
I wanted a small, lightweight laptop for travelling. I wanted to be able to check email, edit photos and then upload them to photo sharing sites. While travelling, I also wanted to be able to check the weather, read the NY Times, and google every stray fact that pops into my head, etc.
While it would have been nice to have a dvd player/burner, I would have had to pay so much more to get a small laptop that had that capability. I paid a little more to get the longer lasting battery since I may not always be able to plug the laptop into an outlet. This netbook starts quickly, holds a lot of photos, has a large enough screen for whatever I need to do, and comes with a mouse.
The mouse is a necessity because using the touch pad can be iffy - I find myself having enlarged the screen without intending to, or making it teeny without intending to. I always use the mouse because of this.

Comments about Acer Aspire One Netbook Computer (Sapphire Blue):
The Aspire One works as advertised. I bought this for my son who loves it! Plenty of speed and wireless internet is great.
It takes awhile in the beginning to load windows and I didn't want the McAffee anti-virus software that it comes with and took some time to not let it load so I could load better software.
Overall for the money I'm very impressed.

Comments about Acer Aspire One Netbook Computer (Sapphire Blue):
This netbook is great and had a very good price at B&H. No issues with the system. Some complaints about fan noice but this SW: [@] provides custom fan control to the user, this worked for me. Battery range for 6 cell is from 4-7 hours. Given the small screen the easy zoom function from the touch pad is nice. Nice rich amount of IO (usbs, ethernet, expansion cards). Performance is great if you use this for what it was designed for mail, and editing. I did a CD boot of the system with Linux (ubuntu) and most major devices came up, so I may eventually may make this dual bootable.

Comments about Acer Aspire One Netbook Computer (Sapphire Blue):
I am a photographer, and purchased it for using on trips, mostly for downloading photographs daily, freeing up my flash cards. It worked well for this, even fitting into a large zipper pocket in my photo gear bag. I used a flash drive to back up my photos while traveling. It is small enough to travel well, and its wireless capability allowed me to reserve motel rooms ahead and to check in for my airplane return flight. I had no difficulty with the key board or track pad.

Comments about Acer Aspire One Netbook Computer (Sapphire Blue):
I bought this computer to take on trips. I like to take photos and travel by motorcycle. This allows me to backup my photos on the computer, keep them on the camera cards, and sent emails to friends while takeing trips. I travel by motorcycle a lot and it is small and takes up very little room. I have a laptop that is several years old and this one is faster, more HD storage, and way smaller. Ideal for traveling. The 6 cell battery is the way to go easily last 6 hours for me. Comes with a mouse too!
Its not a power computer and won't compare to the latest dual core processors and all there RAM but it is a real value for the product your getting.

Comments about Acer Aspire One Netbook Computer (Sapphire Blue):
[...] very quick to set up and get going. The Acer is fast, has more memory than I ever expect to need and is particularly good for e-mail, web browsing and chat - and with the webcam does everything I expected it to do. It comes with plenty of useful software and - crucially - a small but extremely functional mouse which obviates the need for relying on the mouse pad. The keyboard is a little on the small side for my fat fingers, but this is to be expected in a very compact machine. [...]continue to be delighted with the Acer. Members of family are likely to be insisting on their own, too!
