The Samsung SL102 Digital Camera is an ideal camera for the entry level shooter with its ease of use and compact size. It incorporates a quality Samsung lens with a 3x optical zoom, as well as Digital Image Stabilization to help reduce blurry images.
For simple shooting, the camera does most of the work for you thanks to a host of advanced automatic features, including Samsung's Face Detection and Beauty Shot modes. The camera can also record high-quality video clips at VGA resolution with a frame rate of 30fps, and allows users to pause and then resume recording video without having to save the clips as individual files. Photos and videos can then be viewed on the cameras 2.5 inch LCD screen.

When i recieved the camera it looked kind of small and i didnt think it would take good pictures, but actually it great it takes better pictures then my last camera.the only con is that its to small and the screen is small as well.Great product for a great price.

I purchased this model as a gift and chose the Samsung SL102 over the newer Samsung SL202 model, since there wasn't a dial to mess with on its backside. This camera is a good choice for someone who needs a point and shoot without a lot of fluff and preferes Li ion over AA batteries. Taking and reviewing pictures is easy, and this camera stops action better in the Auto mode than my Sony DSCW-55 does. The battery charging system can be improved, as you have to remove a small cover on the side to insert the charger. Overall, it's a good bargain and I would recommend it to others.
