Love Tiffen filters. Real optical glass, 10 year warranty, tough to boot. Head and shoulders above other brands.

Comments about Tiffen 52mm Skylight 1-A Glass Filter:
Tiffen is, in my opinion, the best value for the money. Good clear optics, actual glass instead of plastic, and a construction method that makes sense. Don't forget the 10 year warranty.
B&H customer service is also the best going.

Comments about Tiffen 52mm Skylight 1-A Glass Filter:
Everyone has a bad day, and Tiffen is no different. I ordered this filter and it came in with a line in it as though the filter material between the glass were creased. I dropped B&H a note to ask what I needed to do, and they shot me out a new one no questions asked! Didn't even have to hassle with sending the old one back! I'm sticking with Tiffen and B&H!

Comments about Tiffen 52mm Skylight 1-A Glass Filter:
I recently had to replace my UV filter on my digital camera. Going for the cheapest one, I found this filter. While examining it, it feels like it is actually better than the old one. I have not found anything wrong with this company or their filters.

This really softened up some of the bright pictures of snow and snowfall that I've been taking over the past week. Solid as all Tiffen stuff always is.

buy one of these filters. very little color shift, very little light lost. protects my Nikkor 35mm prime, couldn't be happier. will most likely buy a few just as replacements. [...] they rock for the purpose that i bought them for, protecting my lens

Comments about Tiffen 52mm Skylight 1-A Glass Filter:
I mainly use this filter as a protective layer for my lens, but I decided to get something different from the standard UV glass filter. Seems to work well, although with post processing using software, most filter effects are no longer needed.

I always manage to smudge (or yikes, scratch!) my lenses... I use this as a simple lens protector.
