Comments about Pioneer DVR-560HS Multi-System DVD Recorder:
This unit was to replace my five year old, non-HDMI pioneer DVR recorder. It doesn't have standard cable plugs, making it very difficult to use in a standard USA cable system. How have others done this? S-video and component video got me sound but no picture. I returned this unit [...]

Comments about Pioneer DVR-560HS Multi-System DVD Recorder:
I used to own a Pioneer DVD recorder which I had to replace a few years ago. I missed that machine. It spoiled me. The hard drive, the editing capabilities, the titling.... When I replaced it with a different machine I realized what a phenomenal machine I had. So when the replacement died an early death, I sought out another Pioneer and got this one. I was thrilled to see that while it's a bit different from my first one, it's functionality surpasses others. I am very pleased with this DVD recorder.

4x bigger hard drive than my former unit for a similar price.
Not many complaints other than I wish it recorded in HD but I knew that going in
