Comments about JVC XV-N680 DVD Player (Black):
This DVD player replaced a similar Toshiba product that had reached its planned obsolesence. I switched the cables and I was ready to go, just in time for my Netflix arrival.

Comments about JVC XV-N680 DVD Player (Black):
I purchased this player in order to reduce the usage & abuse on my more expensive DVD burner.
We use this player for everything now. DVDs that were stuttering on my DVD burner are playing beautifully on this player. It's simple and does exactly what it's suppose to do. I also like that the unit is half the depth of other players. The only feature I find a bit annoying is that the unit seems to turn itself off if not in use for a while. It's just a matter of waiting for the unit to start up & load again.

Comments about JVC XV-N680 DVD Player (Black):
I have only tried it with region 1 DVDs, but it has played them without problem. The price was very reasonable. It's a slim, compact package. I expect it to perform without problems, and so far it has, but it's only a week old. My only complaint is that an HDMI cable is not included in the package, but there were RCA cables.
