The 8x1 DVI KVM Dual-Link Switcher from Gefen allows you to switch between (8) cross-platform DVI computers using just one DVI display and USB 2.0 keyboard & mouse. This unit supports single- and dual-link DVI. Use this solution to save time and avoid duplicating hardware purchases by managing multiple computers with a single set of controls.
This unit supports resolutions up to 3840 x 2400. It can be controlled via the included IR remote control. Also supported is DDWG standards for DVI monitors. It can be used as a standalone solution or mounted in a rack using the included rack ears.

I am using this box to route numerous computers (both Mac and PC) to one Apple 30" monitor, keyboard and mouse. Now that it is setup, it works great. Out of the box, it was seeming not to function properly. Plug and play was not happening. The small manual that comes with the unit is surprisingly technical, and was required reading to figure out proper setup. One of 3 DIP switches on the board needed to be flipped to the on position. The switch is immediately accessible on the bottom of the case, under a piece of tape, without opening the unit. Once I figured this out everything worked fantastic. The different DIP switch configurations actually allow for greater product compatibility. The cost of the unit is a little steep, but all cables are included ( 8 monitor, 8 audio, 8 USB). The unit and cables are all of high-quality. The entire package feels tight and professional. I would recommend this product.
